Must say, I'd trade my free cable TV, free phone and free 10meg broadband for immunity from speeding prosecution any day of the week :)
Sadly my eyesight was just outside of the acceptable limit, so I couldn't have a license to speed and a superior pension. South Yorkshire is a pretty good...
MENSA is good for CV and that's about it sadly. Myself and the other half long since stopped the subs, as the "humour" SIG went from being very funny to, shall we say, sad at best. It was almost self parody, but the contributors were taking themselves waaaay too seriously.
High IQ doesn't...
Not so much bothered by the 159 mph on an empty motorway, more the 80+ mph in a residential 30 zone. Joe public would be flayed alive...

Saw a thing on BBC news this morning, 600 people in California, and a similar number in Australia who are registered blind, but thanks to some cunning glasses, have got their licenses back:

Nothing against it in principal, I'm all for adapting cars to...
Ah yes, I heard of that nut a while ago.
I must confess to having clipped pheasants before now and stopped to pick them up. Wouldn't have thought they'd be much meat on a squirrel though. Maybe you get multiples and bang them in a pie.
I've taken down a good few pheasants where I live, they're just not particularly bright critters I'm afraid. They also have an annoying tendency to damage grills/splitters or to leave bits of themselves in your engine bay where they become quite gamey. It's amazing how much damage hollow birds...
Hmm, don't like the graphics, but otherwise the cupped/trophy'd meggy isn't too bad. Still prefer my little Ruby, as the 225 handling is a little dull. On the upside, you can get a bunch of wine in the back of the Meggy on a booze run. Getting the Recaros is in a good idea, as is the MP3...
Are these numbers right? I'm sure I've seen more irradiated baked bean coloured cups than blue ones. Must be said, when I was looking at cup plus Recaros, I was going to go for the inferno, my other half loved the colour. Not good for resale value, but it just looks mad, exactly in keeping with...
Seemingly the limiter comes down if the oil is cold, or the EMU detects anything else amiss, wonder if yours has some sort of reset required? :(
I had a bit of a thrash the other day and although my eyes were more on the road than dash, limiter seemed to be a dab past 7K in second.
I think I've got lucky (fingers crossed) as mine's got a little over 2K on her and following a progressive increase in the revving while running her in (always from warm) she seems to put the power down nicely. No lack of mid range grunt. She does seem to be loosening up slowly a little more...
What size tyres are on them? (ie how badly out would speedo be compared to normal Trophy)
Is the sidewall wear dangerous, and what sort of tread depth are we talking?

Find it ironic that I got mine new cheaper than the starting bid for the second one.
Did people really buy Trophies as an investment? Surely not a plan...
I'd go for ease of reading over colour scheme to be honest, the orange does seem clearer, and kind of mimics the needles on the dash.
There are some pretty speccy Alpine units with satnav and bluetooth, but they aren't cheap. Bonus is that there should be an adaptor available at some point to...
B*gger. Are there any 15" steelies from a rendom Clio that may squeak it? I should have remembered doing the same thing with my Mark III Escort many years ago and couldn't get the swines over the fronts then either.
Arse indeed.
That settles it, I'm going to make a point of getting hold of some steelies from a scrapper this year. Are there any weird Mk II models with a different offset etc that I should avoid?
If you've driven a VXR, you'll understand why. Straight line speed amazing (if you can keep on top of the torque steer) but handling is not quite good enough for the power in my mind.
Maybe I'm not a good enough driver to deal with it, but it was things like the lift off. In Ruby I can lift a...
Rough!
Very brave using snow chains on Turini's. I may look into some steelies or at least winter tyres for next year if it's a poor forecast for Winter.
Welcome! I see you've gone for the "inferno" colour. By the way, what is the colour called in Greece? I believe this colour has different names in different countries...
