Ah yes, I had forgotten about the cd, I have to admit I always thought it was a bit after thought.
Ed and Nick, my picture makes the finish look darker than it was but would be interesting to know what finish they were given.
Agree with Ed, I think i saw this a while back(?) it is just something someone copied and pasted together. The only "brochure" as such was a one page press release sheet from renault with the Alonso/Fisichella photo.
I think bare metal is the wrong choice of words (sorry Ed) They were not...
Really? "Tatty", "a 99k car", the inference that it has been clocked. There are lots of clues if you look at the picture that it is an honest car the "looks" like it would need very little to make it very very nice.
I must resist the urge to really start laying in.
It has been off the road for...
I was going to reply to some of the comments, especially of the FB page but suspect I would make few friends so I will keep my mouth shut and just be the grumpy old fart in the corner.
Mine was a Masters car. I picked it up from that very garage, they had seven or eight stored in the rear of the building. It does have a few issues but someone with the right amount of cash is going to get a nice motor.
To all those earlier disparaging comments. I’m sorry you’re wrong, just look at that…..
To be fair, although they got the rear looking almost perfect, the front kit is just not quite right.
I was hoping to get some pictures over of the first Trophy meet but they are on a laptop with a very dodgy hard drive and I really need someone who knows what they are doing to rescue them and ten years of other pics. Probably not good enough anyway.
New mattress today so everything under the bed has to come out and be cleaned and of course opened and re examined. There can’t be too many of these with the original cars?
Indeed, I have no idea what he is now doing but suspect the “downsizing” might be a tell. Not sure he will ever completely hang up the spanner’s.
How the car is set and preferred is always going to personal, l love the orb, if I remember you hated it 😉 but In terms of optimum handling he was...
There is a chap of the FB page canvassing for a possible group buy of the Mark Fish spring package. Probably a big ask with the appearance of the Grams version but they are arguably the ultimate Trophy spring setup. 😁
Totally with you there, I caught myself looking at them in a sort of Homer “Mmmm donuts” kind of way, despite the fact that I have more sets than i will probably ever need.
No. I won’t bore you but got let down and finding someone to take it was one of this weeks (I’m off) jobs but I really would win a gold medal for procrastination. Meanwhile the list of jobs gets longer…………….
Lots and lots, rear bumper held on by a couple of screws at the moment.
😛
At £8k with that much spent under its belt that would an absolute bargain and probably even at £10 but it seems to be a buyers market at the mo and if you are wanting +12k it is going to have to walk the walk as well as talk the walk.
I wish it were more enviable. I suspect there are others with more 😉 I saw what happened with the 5GTT scene when parts literally disappeared overnight and I failed to read the writing on the wall with the Clio stuff until too late. Some of the stuff I have for the 5 is worth a small fortune...
I’m not sure they were ever put on a jig and actually tested side by side. I think it was just accepted that the rears could not be that much different Sachs to Cup. If I didn’t have original spares, the cup option wouldn’t be a difficult decision.
