Indeed 20 does feel soft, it does give a marked improvement in the wet though, and rides so much nicer!
I have retired the trophy to the garage now and will be making it mint, plus doing some nice mods gradually, so i can turn the dampers up and not worry about ride 8)
BG motorsport can supply them. If you are abroad they will probably send them to you no probs i would have thought.
Rentech set my dampers to 20 the other day and it has made a hell of a difference! Much better in the wet. Not as sharp and nowhere near as good under braking in the dry though...
Re: Nike Air Max 1 ( or 87) wanted
I remember the days of paying £120 for some basic nike air maxes. Original reebok pumps were all the rage too! Trainers like that aren't really cricket down here any more and haven't been for at least a decade. Everyone wears pete docherty shoes! I just wear...
Shed motorsport own the rights to the design, so i presume you'd either have to buy the rights off us, or buy the exhausts through us!
£600 is a good deal IMO. Aside from the resonance issue, they are perfect! Look by far the nicest of the aftermarket exhausts. The only system that could tempt...
I have a tight grip on the wheel, and mine has started to melt a little. Thumb grips are fine though. It's a crap design, i miss my perforated real leather VAG steering wheel, that was so much nicer!
Gear knob and gaiter were decent too:
This is where french cars fall down. Even driving a...
Those are ph2 172 seats, the 182 ones have lighter stitching and the perforated alcantara etc is different.
The 172 doorcards are much nicer also with soft thin leather instead of plastic, soft touch door pulls/window switch holders and obviously alcantara inserts!
I am willing to swap my 172...
Depends on the use they have had so far. Incorrect break in will cause problems. And if they've been binding then that won't have done them any good. I'd just keep using them for a bit now that they are working properly to see if they clear up a bit. They should be smooth, DS2500s are a metallic...
I didn't wear mine in as per the instructions, just avoid low speed braking, and definitely don't hold your foot on the brake while stationary, for at least a few weeks to a month after fitting them. Or if possible run the stoptech method which runs them through heat cycles but you have to find...
Definitely don't file the pads, at absolute most remove the paint from the two contact patches on each end.
They should slide forwards and backwards in the carriers easily by hand without the caliper fitted.
Literally every car i've looked at in the past with squeeling/binding brakes hadn't...
I still don't get how the idea of greasing the rear of pads came about! It's a bad one, the pads need to stick to the caliper really, and the pads need to slide easily in the carrier. I simply took the shims out, brushed the rust off the sliding areas on the carriers and put copper grease on the...
BMWs use a similar system just to improve fuel economy, it shuts the alternator down while driving, and when on overrun and braking it reactivates it. Obviously it has no boost function.
Size, total height from centre of hub, rolling radius.
205/50 R15 = 290mm & 1822.12mm
205/45 R16 = 292.25mm & 1836.26mm
So they are the same width and the height from the hub is shorter, providing the wheels they are fitted to are the same offset and width, they will clear absolutely fine.
a 205 50 15" tyre is going to be shorter than a standard 205/45 16" so i can't see why there would be any problems, using the correct offset and width of rim of course.
Did level 3 C&G Electrical and electronic engineering & servicing, forgotten most of that too, despite getting pretty much straight distinctions. Same with languages, straight As & A*s, forgotten most.
I think unless you use the knowledge daily it's likely you'll forget it pretty soon. It's the...
Drivers side exhaust box towards the centre, all 3 in a row had gone. Strange as it's all factory, although the backbox will have been off for the new centre section last year, no doubt the renault techs didn't give a crap, as they scratched the hell out of my tailpipes on the bumper cutout :(
After sulking a lot i spent a few hours on it this morning!
The heatshield had snapped off a few of it's studs for some reason and was clattering against the boot floor, which i noticed after i was stumped by the lack of problems with the suspension system!!!
Car still doesn't handle right...
I checked the bearings today and they are still tight, no play whatsoever, discs spin freely by hand, and the noise isn't speed related it's road surface related.
The noise only happens during rear suspension movement, over any sort of bump or dip. I've checked the exhaust over by yanking it...
Don't i know it :( It would pain me to sell it once it's fixed though, as it will have so many new parts fitted i may as well get some use out of it!
Not sure what i can drive to work now too, but i won't be driving the clio how it is!
