Surely there must be a relatively hassle free version available. I guess the Honda torsen diffs don't take a lot of upkeep? Can't remember how they work though. I think if the T becomes a second car I'd like a diff at some point.
Mark, have you been on track yet in yours?
I've had mine since new (80k) and I think I'll keep it for another few years. I've modified it a little along the way to keep it interesting. I guess it will become a second car pretty soon and may get a bit more extreme. Only trouble is like most cars it feels a bit slow after riding a motorbike.
Its worth the money.
In day to day driving how often do you get a wheel off the ground? Only on the odd roundabout and tight bend I would have thought. My Trophy isn't a regular on track and on the road the ARB along with the negative camber I added before made its handling more neutral and...
Re: Brembo Disc Breaks
Yes, they are worth the extra outlay. I wouldn't touch the DS2500 again. I took them off my T after about 2,000 miles. I drove through town to work at the time and they are awful when cold. Ok for fast road but Pagid's are much better when cold and on track.
I drove mine out to Germany within a week of buying it and lived there and then France for the first 18 months of ownership. Its no big deal really and you won't see too many others around :D
I just want to add that I have recently upgraded the dogbone bushes with poly ones and it does make a huge difference on its own. The engine (and exhaust) are much more solid. The car doesn't judder pulling away either. Only downside is a considerable increase in vibration at idle. The gearshift...
That should be fine, I've always used my Arai bike helmet. If it's built to save your head falling off a bike then it should be more than up to the job of protecting it in the Trophy. If I had spare cash then I would buy an open face helmet for in the car just to keep cooler.
Ha Ha. That's quality Jules, but you might find your pants get soiled during the accident. Just keep it the right way up!
Sorry Benoj, this is a good thread. Its always a worry where to place the stands. My jacking points are a mess too :?
I'd say most people prefer slightly under 33/30. I would try around 31/28 and see how that feels. I would have thought low to mid 20's will see you wearing the shoulders of your tyres out pretty quickly.
I think Matt Wills' user name on here is Matt Wills. 7MAT is a different Matt. The one who worked with Mark Fish on the Trophy suspension and started i4detailing. :D
This is why I bought an Orbisoud back in the day when I was living near Paris and I could get one for about £700. It comes with the full manifold back larger bore exhaust including sports cat. No narrow pipes, no restrictions. Not bad value if you consider adding a sports cat to any of the other...
Ben, you would love it. I've usually been biking around the typical (full of brits) Morzine area but you can find great rides just about everywhere now. The scenery looks amazing in the lakes too. I've never been unfortunately.
I loved winter in the Alps. Not so sure I'm keen in the UK. More fun in the summer here (biking, trackdays etc). Actually though the Alps are fantastic in the summer. All you mountain bikers should get out there. Personally, I preferto take the lifts up and enjoy the rides down. Try climbing on...
Some guy at the ring told me he ran them as low as 19 on an old BMW track car, but I'm not 100% sure it was the same tyre. The soft compound meant that George's old tyres were very slippery after a few minutes whatever the pressure. I thought they looked a little more worn in the centre when I...
Good to hear Cue. Glad your impressed. As I said before, they seem to have a good range of adjustment from relatively comfortable to firm. I changed the springs at the same time so it's difficult to judge how much the rear Koni's add.
