Yeah, I had to replace this pipe after parking in some long grass pulled it off. It's worth cable tying your wheelarch liner in place where it clips onto the black metal bar at the back too apparently.
The Trophy might not roll much for a hot hatch, but it's being compared to sports cars. It does roll a lot if pushed / tracked. Great result though. :D
Hi Sam/Rich,
That was me. It's got the Mark Fish setup on it. 10mm lower / stiffer springs and adjustabe rear Koni's. Chelmsford seems to be the only place where Trophy's are common!
See you around,
Luke.
Matty,
was that a dyno dynamics rolling road? Some others seem to be a bit more optimistic in their results. Mine was 181.5 bhp and 156lb ft (modified) on Sanspeeds dyno dynamics RR. THis seems to be the case with all the 182's.
My local dealer managed to do something like this when fitting a new bonnet catch under warranty last service. When I took it back (they obviously hadn't checked it) they somehow released it through the badge I think. They did have to replace the badge afterwards though! :?
Everyone has different reasons for wanting a particular car but buying a new 200 to save money over Trophy running costs is not the best argument! :D (that said I wouldn't mind some free motoring myself)
If you want a standard unmodified car for the track I'm sure the 200 cup would be great...

To change the lamp, Jack up the appropriate side of the car and remove the wheel and the wheelarch liner. Then you can remove the foglight from the rear.
It cost me around £650 for Mark Fish springs and re-valved rear dampers fitted and geo setup, all by Mark himself (£1400 included cam belt etc). I haven't had my front dampers refurbed yet at 70k although my car has only spent one winter in the UK. No salt abroad :D . You could have the fronts...
The Recaro's are black, so are a little different to the dark blue / grey of the rest of the car. They do look better than the Swiss versions though ( I have seen one). I think they are the same as many other cars, Mitsubishi lancer's, Honda Inegra's, Megane's etc. As you already have the right...
Yeah mine is soft :? , but I don't think it's that much quieter than Julian's. You should have got a ride at Bedford but you were more interested in R26's and GT3's! Can't think why
I think Rich is right. Most people on here will tell you the Orb is the best thing since sliced bread, but passengers on a long journey will hate you for it! That said I've done about 35k with mine on in about 18 months. Mark did you get a ride in my car? I can't remember.
I think an exhaust does little for increasing power unless you have a decat. It's more about the sound.
The Orbisoud comes with a sports cat built in. You can have the soft version with a centre silencer or the race version which only has the rear silencer but should give a bit more power...
I've not used the greenstuff pads but I think for road use only the DS2500 are not as great as you might think. I took mine off as I often found the first time I really needed to stop quickly there was not enough heat in the pads. Back in Dorset on the country roads they are great but I had a...
A guy working at Mclaren told me that they had a pre production SLR that they wanted to rack up miles on. If you had a garage big enough you could take it home for the night. He took it to an airfield. :D Nice perk of the job!!
A good point Ben, although I have the quiet Orb it's still all I can hear at motorway speeds :D
I'll probably get these fitted when I get a service in 2000 miles. Thanks again.
Thanks Ben.
The rattles don't sound too bad to me, but the motorway could be a problem. Not sure if I will go ahead with this just yet as I get enough abuse from passengers about the MF springs and the Orbisoud (mostly the Orb). Will I hear the engine over an Orb do you...
