Just until the next start. I've had to use it when on the ferry and that's one of the reasons for it being there. Once you start up again all is back to normal.
I'm pretty sure you turn the key three times in the ignition (without starting the car) and then get out and lock. It should give a sound to indicate the sonics are switched off.

Yes these are the OE standard Trophy dampers. Others on here have I believe have checked and the rears cannot be refurbed. Also the rears, although not cheap, are not anything like as expensive as the fronts. Even if the rears could be refurbed it might not be worthwhile from a cost perspective.
Looks like the same one, but doesn't appear to have the number in the new ad?
It did seem cheap at £5,250, but always hard to know without seeing the car.
On the basis that they will be numbered is someone going to open up a new separate register for these? I can see some postings ending up in the wrong place !
That's really helpful. My symptoms are the same, but no warning light though. It will be going into the dealer to be fixed next week.
What was the problem in the end with yours?
Quite an expensive kit.

So maybe price isn't so bad if it fits what you are looking for. Generally my preference is for a light touch with any mods though, with a standard car being more desirable.
This just makes me think SGS should be automatically gassing the the ones they are selling as Trophy specific to 400Nm rather than you having to ask for it or having to send them back.
Think it was ten years ago today, the day before the Monaco GP, that the Trophy was unveiled by Alonso and Fisichella. Was anyone down there at the time?
Will go for an anniversary drive later today :o
Be interested to hear the outcome on this. Is it just the latest batch of SGS struts that are like this or are they all the same?
Still pleased with the Morelli ones which are fine.
I just preferred the end caps of the Morelli ones being black, the same as the OE items. It seems that the caps for the SGS ones are now silver. Plus the SGS ones are more expensive too.
I've now fitted these. They are a little longer than the OEM items I removed, but this doesn't cause any issues with the spoiler. In fact the extra clearance is probably a good thing.
Interesting that the OEM Stabilus lift-o-mat items which I removed are also on the Mercedes, although a...
I'm still running the standard exhaust. I bought an RS192 last year but have not fitted it.
If Akrapovic made one to fit that would probably be my choice.
Sounds positive Marc. I'm definitely interested in some of these too.
Hopefully they will understand and acknowledge that these are important to keeping the integrity of what is one of the most iconic of hot hatches.
