I'll give him a shout mate. He's incredibly busy at the moment and his job doesn't always afford him much online time when the F1 season is in full swing! (y)
That's a shame mate... ;) I kinda get your dilemma though. Our Type-R has decided to throw a wobbly for the first time in 135,000 miles and needs a new gearbox. I'm having to use the GT4 as a daily. It's both awesome and painful in equal measure!
A few 'battle scars' are fine. :) The main thing is you're enjoying it mate! That said, if you're going to the trouble and cost of a front-end respray (assuming it happens) then I would also factor in the cost of PPF! Definitely worth it! But that's easy for me to say as I didn't have to pay for...
Interesting... maybe if said Swiss owner had tried it on a broken British B-road...! :ROFLMAO::LOL:
I think the Trophy is absolutely superb, even given the fact it is some 15 years old now. Still as much fun to hustle along your favourite back roads as they ever were. I can't ever recall...
If you decide on a set of Mark Fish springs then I have a brand new unused set for sale... :)

Thanks for the pics @MarcB - glad you like the Trophy's replacement. :) Thanks also for coming over and introducing yourself. Mate, it was a genuine pleasure - you're a gent.
I concur! :)
Don't even go there! Mind you, 'modern' red paintwork doesn't seem too bad these days... and the GT4 lives in darkness in the garage when not in use. I also fitted blackout blinds the other week. :)
Thanks mate!
#165 may well be leaving my ownership in the coming few months, but a little bit of Le Clio B*stard Rouge will always live on with me!
#redisthecolour #t44phy :LOL::ROFLMAO:
My last rebuild at BG cost me just over £1100 and that was with new rods (due to scoring). Sadly they only lasted ~1400 miles before they leaked.
EDIT: I managed some 86,000 miles before they needed the first rebuild though, which I thought was pretty impressive.
I can only echo Tim's comment regarding ProSpeed in Cardiff - a fantastic system that is very well-built and at a sensible price. Charlie is happy to make it as loud, quiet, raspy, boomy, etc. as you desire.
Yeah, make sure you do tell him! :P Hahahaha! Seriously, he's really good and used to handle the workshop / Clio turbo build side of things at Engine Dynamics. He then went solo and has a (deserved) good reputation.
I think I still have a Cup alternator / bracket setup that he wants... oops.
Hi mate, Portishead west of Bristol? If so then I could potentially meet you halfway at Magor services maybe at the weekend? I'm from the Caerphilly area. Otherwise I can post at no extra cost (240 all in).
Cheers [emoji16]
Looks great, Ian :) The red 'pops' nicely.
As for a machine polisher... I would highly recommend looking at Rupes Bigfoot. Perhaps not the cheapest but a very nice piece of kit and - with a bit of care and effort - great results can be had.
I bought these brand new Mark Fish Trophy spec springs for my build but, alas, it was never to see the light of day. As a result I am looking to sell them on.
They are absolutely mint and this is the first and only time I've opened them - to take a few pics.
I would like what I paid for them -...
I have nothing much to add other than... hello Porsche Cayman friend!!!!! :D:):p
Getting back on topic... I would be going with the Trophy every time. Even with the headaches and rollercoaster journey I've had over the last 12 years, it hasn't really dulled my love and enthusiasm for them.
