I doubt they would let it in to auz,
A friend of mine emigrated to auz last year and had to sell his 1960's american ford pick up because they just would not have it in the country.
Good luck with the sale Rob,there seem to be quite a few north of the border now.
Just so you are in no doubt that the 'Trophy' is the right car take a look at this article titled 'PH HEROES'
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=462693
The trophy originally came with michelin pilot exalto 2 (PE2'S) tyres which have now been discontinued and replaced by michelin pilot sport 3 (PS3'S).
So the choice is yours from michelin or another premier brand to budgets ?
Hi Adam,
Tell us what you currently drive and what sort of car history you have?
You like many other mechanics think renault are a nightmare to work on but this is simply not true, yes they seem to do things differently to other mainstream manufacturers but renault are usually the first to...
I thought that renault use a 'Manifold Absolute pressure' sensor (MAP) in the inlet manifold not a MAF sensor.
Air Filter, intake hose(90 bend) then throttle body,if i remember correctly no MAF? correct me if im being dim.
The MAP pressure sensor is on the timing belt end of the plenum just...
Ultimately its your choice and only yours, lots of variable here ie cost availability, brand loyalty.
Here are some other forum members choices in this thread.
http://www.cliotrophy.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/41951-Tyres-Choices-Database-Clio-Trophy
You are correct the standard factory tyres are 205/45 R 16 83v
But i think people prefer the PS3's in the 87w XL because they have stiffer sidewalls so not so much flex in the corners over the 83v PS3's
Hope that clears things up ?
The PE2's have been discontinued some years ago now so any that may have been available were 'old' stock'.
I believe most people who want michelins go for the PS3's Pilot Sport in 205/45R 16 87W XL
There are other choices out there though.
MarcR,
5th paragraph down on the add 'Associated Products' suspension buffer kits?
Do you know if this is the 'gaiter/bump stop and is there a part number and price ?
Thanks
It may help others if you give your general area and how far you would be willing to travel for the right car ?
Ie im based in birmingham and will travel 200 miles
Or put your location on your profile ?
Cue,
The lever itself can work loose(two 10mm nuts hold it to the floor)this would give you some side to side movement in the lever though, but from your description i would guess the cable has snapped ?
As said i think the majority of trophy owners would welcome a lower seating position,
But would also prefer to retain the original treadline seats so if this kind of mod could be done for the OE seats
Then i think people would purchase this.Just my thoughts.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
I see you refer to the 'T' as 'she' but surely all Trophys are male? :p
Where abouts are you ? Post some pics soon and we can guess the ID number.
Oh and unless you have deep pockets you won't be getting new sachs
If you fit an aftermarket wheel and boss to get it closer to you,
you may find it nearly impossible to indicate without taking your hand off the wheel.:(
I had this trouble with a nissan pulsar GTiR its a right pain for everyday driving.
I think you will find that the current selling price for any trophy is 6K

A good set freshly done ITRO £600 for the pair ? Used sets only fetch £250 ish.
We all know how expensive they are new but who buys new when you can have them refurbed ?
As for rear mounts ive had all sorts from genuine to cheap ones off ebay and they all do the same eventually !
So i got some of these beauties
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-182-COMPETITION-REAR-EXHAUST-MOUNTS-PAIR-/281166745415
Pricey but we will see how they last,im just feed up...
The clutch should not be that heavy? try fitting a new cable first and see if its any better.
A lot of new owners comment on this,as time goes on the clutch will wear and the cable may become stiff.
The original clutch is a standard renault sport clio item not a competition item
'Sophy the...
I had mine done at BG and they could not be more accommodating.
Quick turn around even when i requested the dampers back so i could have them powder coated my self .
They came back very well packed and unmarked with the new double seals on the reservoirs(BG upgrade to a known fault).
The end...
