OUCH ! don't you just love women drivers who dont look or signal
This should be repairable but will depend on insurance whether they write it off as a uneconomical repair.
I would be very miffed and need a lie down.
Personally i use Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40 Ester Synthetic Engine Oil from opie oils
6 litres does it with a bit to top up,Use a good quality filter also.
As a motor sport derived damper they are designed to be 'serviced' periodically, not like the usual mass produced throw away items there fore as hoolio say they should be as new.
You wouldn't change your engine when it needed a oil change or timing belt ? :)
May be as you said the front pair only start to register road speed at 5mph or so the abs computer is seeing a difference in road speed front to rear at low speeds.
I.E it thinks the fronts are locked? therefore applies the abs pump?
just a thought.
These look to have the same Renault paint marking/codes on them as the 'T'

And well priced.
The red or blue adjuster dial/knobs are drilled and pinned by renault so you cant move/adjust them from factory.
De-pinning them means they become adjustable as intended softer to harder.
Thanks for the positive comments it kinda makes feel better about it.
I will be putting the cruse buttons back on when fitted, just thought i would remove them to send it off.
As for costs:£105 for the retrim+£10 to return in the post+£ 7.50 to send so £122.50 all in.

Not sure what I'd be more comfortable with really as Renault also failed to replace some dampers under warranty unless the owner kicked up a fuss.
I agree, i had the offside replaced under warranty in the first 3yrs but it wasn't straight forward, lots of 'normal wear and tear'...
So how much extra do they usually charge for un-pinning each damper? and do you have to have new adjusters when this is done?
This would be on top of the normal refurb costs @? each side.
Thanks so we all know.
Take a look in the 'for sale' section, here is an add form a member PM to see if they are still available.
