Got mine this morning. :D
Organising a group buy over christmas was probably a mistake! I was in no hurry and saved some money so it's all good as far as I'm concerned.
I saw this Trophy yesterday ( tuesday 15th jan) in Chelmsford. Just off the tesco roundabout heading towards Moulsham Rd at about 9:00 am. Must be 3 or 4 in Chelmsford.
My ds2500's are much better from cold than my EBC yellows were but still benefit from a bit of heat. Didn't like Spa so much though and are noisy. I'll probably try pagid's next I think.
Stick to Val d'Isere or Tignes. Chamonix is a bit of a pain as it's basically lots of small areas that are not connected. It's not as good when snow is sparse either.
I've been to Val d'Isere twice over new year and it's been fine as long as you don't go off piste. Lots of space and easy...
Just ordered one of these through the group-buy. Will be interesting to see what effect it has . I'm amazed by how much air temperature affects the acceleration at the moment. :D
R2TR,
No problem. I found out about it on here too. :D
If you haven't already looked, it's worth looking through the garage section for tips on upgrades.
Good luck,
Luke.
I got an adapter from incartec for my Alpine headunit with ipod controller. I think it cost about 80 quid but my display and stalk both work fine. The display only shows 'Alpine' and the time and temperature. Can't find any more details at the moment. Give them a call if your interested...
Mine would drop right to the bottom of the guage intermittantly when warm. If it does this then try and video it on your phone or something and get a dealer to replace the sensor and related wiring. As yours is only dropping a little it doesn't sound the same, however mine got progressively...
By the way, Lots of people travelled out to Spa this year to do the Renaultsport trackday followed by the ring. Fantastic weekend and really cheap for Spa at around £120. I'll be going again next year.
I drove an R27 for a couple of laps at the Renaultsport trackday at Spa. They seem to be very evenly matched for outright track speed. The R27 cornered flatter than the Trophy, but it didn't seem to have the adjustability of the Trophy.
It's a good car but I wouldn't buy one. It's more...
Hardly surprisng that prices have dropped a little given the time of year and current borrowing situation. Apart from a couple of houses it seems to average about 5%. Doesn't bother me as a buyer. Just don't stretch yourself too far.
Yeah, I agree. I'm tempted because I could use it on bike trackdays too where I think it would be more useful. You rarely get time to check your speed while on track so it can be difficult to tell when something is an improvement.
Just wondered if anyone has experienced a Performance box or Driftbox (from VBOX).
They are a GPS device which tells you current speed, acceleration/braking times, laptimes etc. I fancy buying one but it's a bit pricey really. I imagine they would be good for measuring performance...
Yeah, it's the coolant temperature sensor. I think they need to replace the associated wiring too otherwise it can go again ( it did with mine ).
Simple warranty job though.
I have no problem with running them all year and agree that unless you have winter tyres on then you should take it easy on ice or snow. I was amazed at how much better winter tyres are in the snow, but they're horrible the rest of the time. In Germany they reccomended changing to winter tyres...
Read this Manufacturer's description for the pilot exalto PE2 on a tyre website (not sure which) yesterday. Thought it was of interest......
Manufacturer's Description:
The Pilot Exalto PE2 is Michelin's entry level Ultra High Performance Summer tyre designed to raise both the status and...
