Replacing trophy sticker on side skirt

They weren't too pricey direct from Renault when I looked into it 12 months ago.

    New bits

But there's so little traffic here that almost nothing needs moderating, just the very occasional bit of spam. Appointing a handful of mods isn't going to turn this forum into a happening place. What do people want from this forum, anyway? Has anyone got any ideas for threads which they'd like...

    New bits

He does post on here occasionally - Trophy299 is his username. I'm not sure whether Stealthsport is still a going concern or not. They appeared as an official trader on cliosport.net but didn't stay much longer than a few weeks. Sadly I don't have any way of contacting Matt, but others might -...

    10 years coming up

In addition to any show meet which might get arranged I'm also planning to organise a Trophy driving tour of North Wales at some point next year, I'll start a separate thread at some point next year. For this anniversary event, Is it worth pulling a list together of people wanting to attend a...

    Altrincham / M56 - Yesterday approx 8.30am

No can do, Jim, sorry. A handful of Trophys on the fantastic roads of North Wales would be a great sight though. See you next year hopefully!

Definitely up for it, but spring next year - my T is off the road for winter ;)

    Tyre Sizes

That'll be Mizen's Trophy! AD08Rs are superb - I run them on my 2118s in 195/50/15. Love 'em!

    Tyre Sizes

It might be worth posting a thread on www.cliosport.net - you're more likely to get a response from someone whose tried that tyre configuration.

    Springs.?

Eibach Sportlines offer the best ride but don't drop the car at all, or if they do it's negligible. Cooksports offer the best drop of any spring I've tried, but I think they're too low at the back. The ride is very good but not quite as good as the Sportlines. All in my personal opinion...

    Refreshing rear suspension

If the springs aren't damaged, I don't think I'd be too concerned about replacing them. That said, now could be a good opportunity to 'upgrade' to Cooksport springs, or Eibach Sportlines. For the rear shocks, the options are standard replacements, Koni adjustable shocks, or Mark Fish...

    Mikeyjp's Clio 182, #037, Trophy Progress thread

Sorry Mike, I got that wrong. I was thinking about these cams with the RS2, but having done a little research these cams sound like a great value mod on the standard F4R - an increase in power & torque all the way through the range. The key will be getting them timed properly and mapped to...

    Mikeyjp's Clio 182, #037, Trophy Progress thread

What's the thinking behind going for a set of 197 cams? Don't they change the delivery in quite a specific way?

    New owner - #478 (nee T7PHY)

I recognised your name - it must be a Newbury / Vodafone / Accenture thing. Nick is indeed a great guy and loves his job. He's lucky he gets to work on such lovely cars, Trophys included. I'm not sure whether a Megane RSTuner would be compatible with a Clio, nor how much the map is, not a...

    182 Service history gap

If that cam and/or aux belt haven't been changed recently or in line with the schedule then I'd get them done ASAP, but apart from that I wouldn't be overly concerned.

    New owner - #478 (nee T7PHY)

Is it Keith by any chance?? I live in Newbury and Nick@DMC treated #455 to a detail and CarPro Finest a while back. The K-Tec induction kit is very good and offers a great sound but be very wary of also having your car mapped at K-Tec, there are a few tales, although personnel may have changed...

I think I pushed over 55,055 last time I was out. 25,000 is a lovely round number!

    Admin, Moderator

I'm not sure there's enough traffic on this site to warrant a full-time mod. What would they do all day other than sit & twiddle their thumbs? And just because there's a new mod it doesn't mean that's going to promote a load of activity. At the end of the day, only 500 of these cars were made...

    Koni rear shocks.?

Larkspeed are often competitive, plus they offer decent warranty I think.
  24. Claude

    Koni rear shocks.?

Very easy to adjust, very accessible. I'm not sure how you'd measure their performance, though. Like you say, personal preference.
  25. Claude

    Koni rear shocks.?

Better? Who can say?! Softer? Yes, they can be set that way.

    Xenon headlights.?

No Trophy had factory-fitted Xenons as far as I'm aware. To retro-fit them I think you need to remove the bumper then the lights are just a straight swap. More than happy to be corrected, it was a long time since I did mine.

    Specialist in the Leicester Area

Mick at Diamond Motors has a strong reputation as a Renaultsport specialist and by all accounts he's a good guy too. He's based in Long Eaton, south of Nottingham, and is probably your nearest specialist, a bonus too that he's well-respected! If you're not happy with the car then walk away...
