The whole V and W rating debate is a curious one. The lengths we'll go to in order to recover that Exalto feeling. Such a pity Michelin ceased to produce the Exalto in the correct size for the Trophy. They still manufacture it in many other sizes and it's not as if the Trophy had a unique tyre...
That's got to be a new record. Nine lines of post and only four pieces of punctuation. It's a headache to read. No asking price and a photo on the **iss too. I'd be making it easy for punters to buy it from you, not hard. It looks nice and shiny. Good luck with the sale.
Edit...
The bummer is that I don't think you can order the Sachs shaft gators and/or the orange coloured cap/mount bits that sit in the top mount, individually from Renault. Guys here have been being passed from Renault to Sachs with neither taking responsibility. That may change, but it could be a...
It's all done "in the best possible taste" to to paraphrase Kenny Everett. People are passionate. Which is really great to see. Great car and one of the most (most of the time) friendly, knowledgeable and helpful forums around.
Kind of, and you're right, someone always has that extra bit of...
Given all the bragging and handbags being waved about over the last few days, I can't resist, hello too. As the day it left the factory, bar the wiper stalk upgrade. Down to still having the clear vinyl on the RenaultSport sill inserts.
RenTech in Portsmouth if you're OK with the drive and spending a day at the Navy Museum to kill the time. I've heard positive things about Radbourne Racing in Wimbledon. R-Sports now I think. They've run Clio Cup cars in the past and are still pretty active in motorsport. I've never used them...
This is the link for the Gumtree ad. The original links posted in the owners register for 310 link to an old 'unavailable' ad. A few scrolls down on those landing pages brings you to this. I swear it's gone up in price by £495 since I last looked three hours ago. Now £6,495. The pictures have...
See my comment on the cars ownership thread that you've also commented on.
My counsel, for what it's worth (zero), would be to spend more time reading very thoroughly through past posts to familiarise yourself with the Trophy, what to look for, what to walk away from etc. Doing that will be...
Looks super, and 100% apart from the missing Elf sticker from the rear window and non OEM wheel bolts. I'm sure someone will bite your arm off for that car if they're in the market for a great one.
Thanks atl. Although don't bother downloading it if you're a Mac user (running Yosemite) I get this message:
You can’t open the application “ClioTrophyCDRom.osx” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
I have the CD somewhere, just wanted to have an easy access copy on my...
I tend to push it back on the runners and force the seat-back to upright, but while also keeping the release mechanism on the seat-back lifted. Could be psychological, but seems to be easier to return to upright by doing that.
Interesting piece. It's purely track based and doesn't consider road driving. Based on road driving I think the Trophy would trump the 200 Cup for driver experience.

So, if anyone's interested I'm now pretty sure what documents should be present and were supplied with 2009 - 2012 Clio 200's. The dealer that supplied the car eventually found the correct documents belonging to the car, and with the help of a very kind person from the RenaultSport forum, the...
That's very unlike Mike. He's usually good as gold. Presumably he didn't remove them and was simply fitting them to replace other dampers, so had no reference point. I'm slightly surprised he didn't check online or with Renault regarding them being side specific before fitting.
Clio Wooden Spoon about sums it up. I read an interesting quote from the RenaultSport Sales and Marketing Director on Pistonheads:
"We believe Clio 4 (RS) is a success; it is the car we wanted to do", explains Regis Fricotte, Sales and Marketing Director, unapologetically. Clio 3 (RS) was a...
And when the belts get done, get them done by someone that knows how to do it properly. A tiny bit out is not good for these engines. I've heard shocking stories of so called 'experts' fouling it up. Use someone that knows what they're doing if you can. Mike at RenTech, Fred at BTM or Mark Fish...
Hi All, bit of a longshot given this is the Trophy Forum and 200 drivers may have long gone, but I need a bit of help. Everyone here has always been a helpful and friendly bunch, whereas having asked for help regarding this matter in all the other forums where 200 owners might lurk, I've...
Marc, many thanks for all your efforts regarding new stock being manufactured. Given the press coverage for this car and continual praise it receives, I'd say it's in Renaults best interests to have the Clio Trophy kept on the road.
Is the position still the same regarding the front Sachs...
Apologies, editing seems to be off. The following line should read as below, note addition of V in A13/300 section:
Additional code: A13V/300 254 269 1C (don’t know what this signifies, but I understand it could be the number distinguishing between the £150 ish one and the £220 Trophy one. Yet...
Identifying marks on the Valeo alternator fitted, all from the label that can just be read by using a torch and squinting:
Part number is: 8200 193 100
Marked as: 14V 110A (representing fourteen Volts and one hundred and ten Amps)
Additional code: A13/300 254 269 1C (don’t know what this...
Er, how about Mark Fish Motorsport? Recognised as a fairly handy specialist. Address and website below. Harlow, Essex. I swear by Rentech in Porstmouth, but Mark on a par. Rentech probably better value for routine maintenance. Mark for more specialist stuff, but still very happy to conduct...
