Yeah I have to agree with that Rich. I can honestly say that my 150k mile example is presented in a far better condition.
It still doesn’t take away from it being a very low mileage example, which I’m sure we will all be watching closely for the end price.
My calendar arrived yesterday.
I was blown away by the quality of the calendar and the very nice additions to the parcel. The personal handwritten note is a really nice touch Ed And goes to show the thought and care that has gone into it.
Thank you for the time it has taken to organise...
My car #189 is on 155k miles and drives incredibly. The history prior to me owning it is excellent and the work done during my ownership has continued the same way.
Personally I’d buy mine again over a less mileage car with very little history.
I’ve been out in it the last few days and the...
Guys thanks for your replies!
My post should have read “options for rear springs” but you guys have covered the answer to that!
I was fortunate enough to buy a brand new set of the Eibach Trophy springs from a member here when I bought my T.
I had my car on my ramp today to give it the...
Good afternoon all.
I was out in 189 recently and while it was not fully warm I had hesitation when accelerating. Not like a misfire but a lull in acceleration for about a second or two when pressing the throttle pedal. That along with it smells like it is running slightly rich, my initial...
Happy new year Ed!
Funny you mention a meet. I was chatting to a friend today about a few days touring the Scottish highlands. Not the NC500 but having spent a lot of my life in the highlands I do know of some really good roads.
He unfortunately doesn’t have a Trophy. He has a fully restored...
You’re totally right here Nick. It will make good money purely on the mileage. Given the cheap tyres fitted to a car known for handling (criminal act in my opinion) then you have to wonder where else during the history have they not spent the money where it was needed!
I absolutely second this. I was always an advocate of a low mileage car but I bought my second Trophy on 153k miles and I am certain the history and overall condition is better than some with half that mileage.
Good luck, this is a bargain for someone.
I have now bought a number of magazines from Ed and the condition of them in my opinion is better than described. The packaging for them really was excellent. Thanks again Ed.
If this is still available I will take it please.
If you have any others please let me know.
When I owned #488 I had most magazine features but sadly lost/binned them.
I’ve found a company that can supply a non genuine but as close to as possible. They’ve sent me an exploded diagram of the whole system but can’t give me a photo of the actual part.
I’ll keep you posted if I decide to go ahead and buy it.
I sold my daily Golf R estate around the time I bought my current Trophy. I had use of another car so I wasn’t in a rush to by another daily.
In December I bought a MK5 Golf GT TDI. It’s been a great car. Few bits have needed sorted out (heater blower resistor and rear wiper motor) but other...
