So here’s my past 48hrs with cars:
1. Trophy makes its mark in the garage, think you were right it might be PAS fluid.
2. Range Rover goes in a height restricted multi storey. Not an issue we’ll lower the suspension off, suspension decides to not work, with 3cm clearance we manage to make it...
Turns out it’s tucked up and leaking oil! Moved it up to the body shop and back and noticed a decent sized pool of oil, think it’ll sit on the naughty step until the 10th of Feb when I see Mick!
At the body shop right now, so will ask what is possible.
these are in their reception at the moment, they also specialise in Mini restorations as well as JLR vehicles….so a Renault should be a doddle! 😂
Another vote for the Honda type r type gear knobs, the one from my FN2 was excellent.
May also be a good point to debate the worst knob you’ve ever had! Ahem!
mine was the one in my mx5, aluminium and nice material but never satquiteright in the palm…..so to speak. Other that the one in my...
No it couldn’t, the signs with the 30 were clear….as were the rumble strips before it, and the signs in the 300yards running up to it.
The older I get I have more sympathy for that grumpy old men program that used to be on!!!
Hi All,
thanks to Nick I’ve ordered the ‘Renault’ and ‘Sport’ badges that are missing….great stuff……only how the heck do you correctly locate them?
Any idea on how to get them in the correct position relative to each other? And on the boot itself?
Many thanks,
David
Perfect thankyou for that Nick, will speak with Sam at Larklands and give him the link.
Turns out he’s a massive fan of the Trophy 182 so looking forward to seeing it worked on.
Can highly recommend them if anyone needs a body shop, they do modern, classics, aluminium repairs, all paints...
Kind of tucked up!
Will be venturing up to the body shop on Saturday to get the sill repairs priced up as well as finding a correct Renault Sport badge for the boot as it’s been removed.
Then off to Diamond Motors to pull together a plan of work to get it back to a very good standard. Need to...
The Rangie was a £3k purchase from a man in a multi storey car park in Glasgow from the FFRR owners forum. Have to say love it and will never be without one !
Overall yes loved it, they’re a rare old beast these days struggled with insurance when I was 22!. Always wanted an original CRX as well but haven’t seen a decent one in years. Forgot I had an FN2 as well, that was good but couldn’t get over it being a Honda Jazz platform Vs the one sold in Japan
Old rides:

I’m intrigued as to what most people actually use as their daily drivers / family wagons.
I’m happy to kick this off:
mine - a 2003 Range Rover TD6 bought because the dog isn’t sick in it! Opted out of the company car scheme due to need for something with long range and ability to haul dog...
Hi all,
has anyone experienced sill damage repairs ? Mine looks like it’s has some trolley jack damage at some point on both sides, the seams are split and bent but rust free.
I’m assuming a body shop will be able to rectify it?
many thanks,
David
