I bought one from France, when it turned up the breaker had written over the front in white marker. It's now ruined 😒 Happy to pay the extra and make sure it's pristine.

That looks lovely. Making me want to get the springs redone at the same time. Going to stick with the plan to powdercoat the big bits and paint the smaller bits that will get knocked.

I'm about to send the knuckles, wishbones, anti roll bar and rear axle off for blasting, primer etching and painting. Would people go for paint or powder coating on the parts. Currently I'm leaning towards paint on the wishbones and knuckles so I can patch any chips that happen and powder...

Hopefully the wife doesn't see this. I ordered the cup dampers today and decided the car needed a few more bits with the money I saved compared to buying koni dampers. So I bought new dust cover bump stops for the fronts, a spare set of springs and a full set of powerflex bushes.

Thanks for everyone's help. From doing some price checking Kam racing sell oem cup dampers for £70 each and larkspeed sell koni's for £133 each.

Looks like the koni's will work. I'll have a look at renault oem dampers as well

The koni part number is 8010-1048SPORT I've not see the renault v2 sachs yet but will try and hunt down a set

My rear sachs are reaching the point were there's more oil on the outside than the inside. It doesn't look like you can get them rebuilt so what is a good alternative. I looked at koni adjustables but they marked as not for the cup models.

That is what they said to me yesterday when I rang them. Hopefully another shop maybe able to restore them going forwards

That's a real shame. There's a spare set of fronts for sale but I may reconsider and buy some highend coilovers for day to day use instead & the sachs come out for events.

Sachs have stopped making the rebuild parts.

Does anyone rebuild the rears dampers? I spoke with BG Motorsport yesterday and they don't rebuild the rears but they also informed me they can no longer get spare parts from Sachs for the fronts.

Before going down the aftermarket route I wanted to try my luck to see if anyone is willing to part with a set of oem unused or near new springs. I know it's a long shot so will take some advice on suitable alternatives if none exist.

Personally I would strip anything I needed so I could refresh my trophy and then look for cheap second hand parts to rebuild the dynamic so it remains on the road.
