Ultimately it down to cost and they can make a higher return by using the storage space on newer car parts.
The mould may worn with age and it was deemed to expensive to repair. Alternatively, it was determined making a viable run isn't achieving the profit margins they require once you factor...
I wish, would of probably bought them for the hoard.
Kam Racing have the passenger side one in stock and I just got lucky with finding someone selling a new set they didn't need anymore.
This is a first for myself, I've been asked to pay £45 in taxes for buying two €35 badges from the Oreca group. After some delayed responses, Oreca has confirmed they don't collect VAT on behalf of the UK government and they declared the value correctly.
Never had to pay import VAT for Oreca...
I got two techs to do the brake fluid change so didn't face any air issues.
The RBF660 just works and I have not boil the fluid on a track day or a spirited country lane adventure.
I went with yellow stuff pads and RBF 660 fluid as I do a few track days. So far they have great bite from the get go, no brake dust and they just get stronger the hotter they get.
Apart from the long bed in process I'm not sure why they don't get recommended.
I would suggest blue stuff pads...
Does anyone have access to the renault part numbers database? Trying to find the original rear view mirror part number, I think it's 7700413867.
A Spanish based dealer has told me a mk2/3 Trafic mirror is the same mirror.
I just checked my Oreca account and I previously purchased six centre caps. Will need to look for them in the parts hoard.
I've already replaced the bumper and arch fittings with marine grade torx screws.
To finish off an expensive adventure, I have secured a full set of new old stock arch...
@NickReilly063 - I remember you posting on Facebook the wheel colour code.
I can't find the post now, could you remind me what the colour is? Going to get the alloys refurbed at the same time.
The previous owners haven't taken the best care of #256 and she's a looker from 20ft nowadays. I would call her country lane battle ready now.
Being brutal and completely open, these are the problems with #256.
- six shades of red now
- two or three dubious touch up resprays
- every panel has...
I just got a £1500 quote and it scares me, I still can't work out why or how it's that cheap.
The quote is the same as the others and they've confirmed they will;
- A full glass out respray.
- dents pulled and skimmed
- Bumpers, aerial, badges, side skirts and door side trims removed.
- front...
All quotes are for a glass out full respray with three coats of 2k paint. The 3k quote is for two layers of water based paint, 2 layers of clear and a plastic type paint to bring the colour back to the plastic trim.
I'm dubious of the 3k quote as it's so cheap.
The underneath will be done...
Make sure you're sitting down first.
In London I'm being quoted 7-12k, slightly outside of London it's 5-10k and a little bit further out its 3-10k.
I'm happy to bring the car to Scotland if it means a great work and a great price compared to London. Just struggling to find anyone up north...
Hi all,
#256 will be going in for a glass out respray in the next few weeks.
While part hoarding I've been making a list of things to replace at the same time. Have I missed anything and do you know how I can source some a Renault windscreen.
Front of car
- new windscreen - no idea how to...
Someone is selling 3D printed reproduction washer blanks. Could be a good alternative if one gets damaged.

Just to add.
No idea if brake servos are LHD and RHD specific. Autodoc is suggesting this is a LHD part.
Alternatives are buying one off a 182 being broken or getting one rebuilt by a specialist restorer.
I didn't think it would take twenty years and buying one for me to spot my first Trophy.
My son was more excited and then a bit upset that we went out in the VW.
Spotted a trophy leaving Enfield, London @ 3pm today via the Ridgeway. From doing a search I couldn't work out who this was on the forums.
Terrible photo of AO55HNJ from my dashcam.
I'd suggest cleaning and putting rust inhibitor on the shell before the rust takes hold while replacing the springs.
Where is the car being exported too?
