Has anyone on here fitted a rear strut brace? If so whats the thoughts on it - e.g is it worth it and has it made any difference to the handling?
Just thinking that it may or may not be a worthwhile option on a Trophy. Probably something Renault would have fitted originally though if it did...
Heh heh, i know - nice thoughts though :) As you say the reality is quite different its very expensive to produce CF parts - especially in small quantities.
Not too sure Cue - i've got a feeling he might be making them himself - it wouldnt be that hard to do if he is in that line of work. He says all his items are genuine CF so i dont see him buying them cheap from Asia etc. Looking at his other items there are a few custom CF parts for motorbikes...
No probs Steve, i thought they looked pretty good so reckoned i'd post them on here for all to see.
As you say if he is making V6 ones in limited numbers then there's a good chance he might be interested in making some Trophy ones - an untapped market for him ;) Though just thinking - he...
Saw these on Ebay and thought i'd post the link (have a look at the sellers other items too), if people still want keyrings it might be worth contacting the guy - a little piece of carbon fibre with the Trophy logo would be pretty cool....

Whilst on my Trophy hunt i've been quite surprised at the difference in brakes between the few cars i've driven. They have all been running standard set ups - one actually felt f**ked - loads of pedal travel then when it finally did bite it was pretty feeble. I used to own a 182 and the brakes...
There seems to be a glut of Trophy's on Autotrader at the moment - has anyone noticed this? 10 in total (thats excluding the black Trophy and the silver one!?) is that the most anyones seen for sale at the one time? Pretty strange time of year for selling too.
They all seem to be average or...

Was that really worthy of a bow? e.g.You ask questions, answer them yourself, make a judgement, then take a bow. I think not.
To answer the original question before jusdgements were made and bows were taken - most of the cars that have been offered have either had more miles or more owners...
Still looking for the 'right' Trophy please PM me if anyone is thinking of selling their car or if anyone knows of any tidy cars out there for sale.
Many Thanks
BC
Cheers Gareth i'll do that.
Who does the web development and maintenance on here? Is it Nik? Might be worth making a small code change behind the scenes as the website clock should really be automatically updating as the clocks go back/forward rather than having everyone go in and change...
Admin - just to let you know that the clock and timestamps on posts are not reflecting the clocks going back at the weekend. Should be an easy fix me thinks.....
Cheers

Thought the eagle eyed might have spotted this one already but apparently not. Thought it was possibly worth discussing on here as there's always a bit of interest around this car:

Would be lovely to have the last one but wouldnt pay that kind of...
Thanks for the feedback folks - some good input there - much appreciated, though it seems Ollie in particular has misread my rambling post - in the first paragraph i would say i made my intentions clear.
I am definitely buying a Trophy.
But in doing this i got to thinking about resale...
As posted before i'm about to buy a Trophy and have been trying to look ahead a year or two and see what the Trophy is likely to be worth and how the introduction of the 197 Cup or Trophy might affect its values. In the end i've ended up with more questions than answers and simply havent been...
I agree Gareth if someone had car number 004 then T4PHY would be a pretty neat plate, i also think the fact that it pretty much reads 'Taffy' makes it more desirable i.e non Trophy owners. I think £500 seems fair and i hope you are successful in selling it Beaver.
Good luck

Wouldnt it be good though if plates could only be sold at their original price, I've seen some crackers on cars nearby that i could then afford ;) 8MW, 16V, ALL 1N all spring to mind!
I can see where you are coming from on this one but i'd have to disagree - using your logic T80 PHY should then only be worth £250 (original cost from DVLA) and not £3495 as i think its currently advertised at, if you pick the right private plate it can be a good investment because...
Is your car on 06 plate Steve? I just wasnt aware till yesterday that there was more than one 06 plate car out there, are there any registered on here?
I would take an 05/55/06 plate car - i think the price, condition, and mileage would be more important factors for me to consider first...
I was under the impression that there was only one 06 plate Trophy in the country and that was number 500/500 which was held back to 1st March and given away in a prize draw (Autocar mag i believe)
I have just been informed that this is not the only 06 plater around - just wondering if anyone...
Ollie, how do you find the sound of the Janspeed? I know you've had it on your car for a little while now - do you feel the sounds has changed as you put more miles on it?
Am i right in saying its one back box sitting across the way instead of two seperate boxes sitiign longways?
With it...
To get things back on topic please PM me if anyone is thinking of selling their car or if anyone knows of any tidy cars out there for sale.
Many Thanks

The Janspeed looks good Tom - how does it sound?
Any chance you could take another pic like DSC00065.JPG but from a little further back and a little lower down? I'd just like to see how much of the back box(es) are visible - i.e. hardly visible like the standard system or very visible like...
