Wheels in Motion - they're in Chesham. very impressed with their service - http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/
on a par with the guy who setup both my Trophy's and much closer to home too!
he was doing an R27 after mine too
With the sun shining this morning and forecast to shine all weekend, it was enough of an incentive to clean the car and get the hardtop off (even if it is going back on after the weekend).
Awesome afternoon of getting to know the car better around a few of my favourite roads followed by a...
Rudi - the R27 went and I got a MK4 Golf Anniversary TDi which made way for this
George - spent a good few weeks trawling the S2k forum and read up all about the geometry - mine has been checked prior to purchase, but going to keep an eye on it, thanks for heads up though :D
As for the VTEC...
Have wanted one of these for a while, but there has always been reasons stopping me getting one... until now! with the prices of used cars fallen so much of late, I found this one at too good a deal to miss... so it's goodbye to the Golf and hello to my mid-life crisis car ;)
based on what the blood stained/mud covered/battered from crashed ones go for, i would say you're probably looking at closer to £800 for your Recaro's if you're including the subframes... the back seat is worth diddly squat, think i sold my old one for about £20... plastic trim bits won't have a...
i spoke to the guy when he first advertised... knowing full well the extent of the damage
however, he told me it had minor damage caused by a traffic bollard... no suspension damage and no chassis damage... draw your own conclusions - but the general opinion i read about Cit-Ren (the people who...
steering wheel was pretty much ripped off and landed in my lap... i certainly didn't steer the car to it's final resting place...
and yes the post came through, i must have moved to one side as it glanced my neck and stopped at the back window... so went right through the car

Just spotted this over on Cliosport.... £5k.... and it's only done 5k miles in the last 2 years... barely been used. still being sold under lightly damaged
Those who don't remember me or what i'm referring to, have a little looky...
i've just replied on clio197 hyb... i've toyed with getting a 3rd Trophy especially given the prices they're at - buying another though is a bit like going back to an ex-girlfriend, familiar and easy but then will you not soon remember why she's an ex? i.e. why you sold the Trophy?
go for...
R27 with 10k miles was doing 30mpg just on my daily commute - on the same commute all 3 182's we had would do 34-36mpg; the 30mpg in the 197 soon drops to 27-28mpg when you stretch your right foot!

i had it on my first Trophy.... wasn't overly impressed with it 3 months later... needless to say i didn't get the second one done... i'm in the camp that says you can achieve better results using a range of car cleaning products and getting yourself more involved with cleaning it
don't believe that either myself... the R27 is a group 16 and the Trophy 17.... about a £120 reduction for me between the two cars
it's an alright article tbh, but not good enough for me to cream myself over and proclaim it to be a great read.
reading that might actually make me find...
