very low mileage, 1 owner example from new, tidy bodywork and all the big maintenance bills taken care of (belts and damper rebuild) - it's the right car for someone still wanting a bit of a future classic which hasn't been meddled with.
something doesn't add up on it... the name on the advert is Dean Bailey, yet the chap who seemed to own it is called Leigh... I know this as he fucked me over on a set of alloys... considering the alloys on his car are supposed to have been brand new 2 months ago there is no mention of that in...
yes remember very well... good to see you still have a couple of toys including your Trophy :D
yes LY 182 again now... :
will keep an eye out for you's two, don't drive too often, train it more now but still keep an eye out :D
cit-ren offered me a wheel for £75, and an airbag for £125... no discount for buying as a pair... i believe a new airbag is £165 from a dealer if you want the peace of mind of a new one...
i got a good find from a seller on ebay, did a deal of ebay so got it at a good price :)
the horn connects straight in... the cruise control needs modification but it's easy to identify between the old wheel and new what the coloured cables transfer to so you can merely re-solder them to get all of that lot working.
with regard to the airbag, a tiny mod is made and the cable plugs...
a main reason for the slightly different look/subtleness was to try distinguish it from the old one... i'd have loved to do another yellow and black theme but have plans for another set of wheels that look great in anthracite and would look shit in black!
the wheel was a relatively easy fit...
thanks everyone... had a vision in my head of how I wanted it to be and have set about doing it... have had enough of these cars over the years to know what works I think and i have to say I absolutely love it - even before starting to change things it was surprising just how much rawness and...
So this is my latest baby... a Liquid Yellow 182 with a mere 27k on the clock when I picked it up. I love the colour so couldn't resist another one and decided as my use of car is less for commuting and more for fun to make it the perfect spec (in my eyes)...
Started with a visit to Charlie @...
I'm in the Prospeed camp, looks great, sounds very nice and subtle and good service, think it took me 3 hours to get there but if I had to do it all again I would, Hayward and Scott was to be my other choice but couldn't justify the extra £200 it was going to cost - they are closer to you mind...
iirc he works for Renault and got the car cheap as an MOT failure... if it's not Renault he works for a garage so I expect that he got trade prices on a few of them bits... testament to how well these cars will go if looked after.
i'd give about £3k for it for some track fun!!
I was admiring this yesterday... lot of time and effort clearly gone into it... door badges is the only things i wasn't keen on but everything else works well, carbon fibre looked great!
what steering wheel is that as well?
there's a chap on cliosport called Wests Renault offering discount on Renault parts, there's also a chap on meganesport who runs a site called worldsaparts.co.uk and he can get discounts too as he used to work for Renault but has now setup his own business
lol... the thought did cross my mind.... though the next Clio i want is a V6! How is 474 doing?
Plate was a spur of the moment auction purchase... i've resisted being dodgy and placing a screw at the bottom of the 1 though!
haha... one of a handful of good photo locations i tend to go to
yeah think you are thinking of Hyb who did go the S2000 - Mini route as well.
Wheels are 18's... reckon i might try get a set of 17's if the price is right. It's fine on main roads, great round Milton Keynes, but notice...
Sadly a change in work circumstances saw me part with the S2000 after a brief ownership... doubling the amount of miles I do and getting an offer too good to refuse on the Honda (selling for a good profit having done 5k miles :D ) has seen me pick up this :
Full John Cooper Works Body...
correct... there are a few owners on meganesport who have made the upgrade to make the day-to-day commute more bareable...
did you opt for the green Jonny? nice choice... i like them and would have it over a R26-R too... blue looks the dogs knackers!!
