Hi guys, this should probably go in the Trophy Faults section but I thought that since it could cost a lot to fix people should know. My beloved Trophy has been in the garage for a week because a number of seals around the engine and gear box were perishing. It's taken so long cause the garage...
I read on a previous thread a while ago that the Trophy has internally braded hoses. Can anyone confirm this? If so, is it that externally braded hoses are more effective?
I had an old mk1 MX-5 before, so I knew I wanted a car that was going to be fun to drive. I was a bit woried about going for front wheel drive after having so much fun hanging the back out on the mx5 but I remembered reading about the Trophy in evo magazine in their car of the year. A few...
I hear they're really good, but I noticed Renault do their own version called Ixtar G-3 75 or something like that. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this? Starts at around 200 quid, but they offer a 5 year guarantee and protect the interior which does make it tempting, at least if...
I'm thinking of upgrading my Cams. I've been looking at the K-Tec performance Cams and the Schrick Billet Camshafts off Yozzasport. Has anyone got these and can you tell me why the Shrick cams are £200 more expensive? They both claim to retain good idle etc. but do you know of any issues...
Is the Maxogen really much better then the ITG replacement flat pannel filter? This is a genuine question as I'm thinking about a few upgrades myself but was just going to go with the direct replacement.
Thanks for the advice, I'm very glad i asked the question before messing things up. Are you all happy with using the Pagid 4-2s for driving on the road? I know it's probably just a disclaimer but they do say on the YozzaSport web site For Race / Competition Use Only, but in an email they said...
I've finally decided to upgrade my brakes, but I want to do it in stages (it's a lot of money to spend in one go). I've decided on Pagid Blue Pads, Brembo Max Discs and braided hoses (does the brand matter here? if so can someone advise me).
My question is, will it be ok to upgrade the pads...
Yeah, my car was registered in 06, but had two previous owners before me, who put on a combined 4,200 miles, so I might as well have had it from new, without having all the pain of running it in first. I got my Trophy in November after driving a mk1 MX-5 and I must admit, I was worried that...
I think everyone on this site is going to say get the trophy, since that's the whole point to the site, but EVO magazine, in their Car of the Year 2005 rated the trophy as the best real-world car 8) . They then put it head to head against real exotica (think Porche 911's etc) and it came second...
I'm in a similar situation to Simon, I want better brakes but I don't drive on tracks. The Brembo Max discs seem to have the concensus, but pads seem a bit different. I had a look at the ds2500's, but one web site had a huge warning attached saying they were unsuitible for road use.
What...
