No worries.
I would say definitely worth a look. #219 will make a nice car for someone as long as he does not take the proverbial with the price. Some really nice subtly mods there. I will be respraying my interior trim red also after seeing it in this car.
I wouldn't worry about the fact he...
Hi march,
This was the first Trophy I looked at when looking for mine.
Tom is a nice chap and the car is a nice looking example. He has owned this for about 3 months now. He has been given a job offer in Dubai so has to sell the car before he goes and I would presume would be open to offers...
Do you only get the water ingress when driving the car in rain or also when the car is parked and it rains?
The rear seat anchor bolt and possibly seat belt anchor bolts could allow water to get in from underneath as it splashes up when you are driving?
Certainly not a DIY job (unless you have the tools / machinery) but can it be that difficult?

Are we really just talking about BG being the only people who can get hold of the Sachs specific replacement parts...
Now now girls! Handbags down :-)
Either you forget about the CatD part, keep it, drive it, love it. Like you said the car is nicely set up.
Alternatively, I would return the car to standard. Sell it as a CatD for say £3k'ish and sell the parts to get as close to the rest of the £1.2k as you can.
Are you serious!!!
I saw this car go and was upset that I had missed out on it.
I think you need to go back to the seller and have it out with him. That is not right. You should demand your money back.
What is the deal with someone selling a CatD car and disclosing the fact? I thought there...
LOL
Have to agree with aucky.
The only reason to buy the T is for the Sachs dampers. The seats, wheels, red paint and spoiler are nice but really, why did you buy a T? I presume because on recently rebuilt Sachs dampers the handling is something that little bit special. This is the reason...
What would be the point of a T with cup dampers?
Wouldn't I be buying the T just for some nice Recaro seats?
Surely, it would be better to save some money and to just buy a 182 Cup?
I would have assumed that people buying a Trophy would also frequent forums such as this since I would have expected them to be an enthusiast. I am surprised that there is no information about #91 on here.
It would be awesome if you could just go to the owners register and see the entire...
Thing is this dealer has quite a large showroom so must be doing relatively well. And he has some nice cars in there too, although after seeing the Trophy you simply could trust them.
There was an original Fiat 500 in there, a Masarati Ghibli Cup, an old Alfa, a Fiat Stilo Michael Schumacher...
So my bro and I finally managed to get over to Welwyn Garden City to view No.91.
As we arrived the dealer was leaning on the car. As we started to look around the car, he remained there without even a Hello or any sort of acknowledgement. Eventually he moved to one side without saying...
Hi All,
I know I am resurrecting an old thread here but could someone possibly eMail me a scan of these 2 Evo articles please?
Evo Issue 083, Giant Killer...trophy VS M6
Evo Issue 087, Car of the year 2005, trophy VS everything.
Thanks in advance,
MaKS
£7200 would make it the most expensive Trophy on sale by some margin. Including 2 other cars, one with 28k miles and another with 22k miles.
It is all well and good starting high and letting the buyer negotiate you down. That is 101 of all good trades, but I think a price this high would put...
I would need to hide it or buy some plastic wheel trims for it.
Do you think it's an issue it's been sat for a year though? And probably been test driven by a million people?
That's the spirit Chris.
Don't give it away. If people start selling them too cheap it devalues them which is no good one I finally get one ;-)
I know what you mean about mileage. I think I always get too hung up about it in my cars.
Ah ok, I thought you had actually seen it.
I think I will go see it anyway since my bro works in Welwyn Garden City and it is not too far from me.
If he really starts being an arse, we will just start blagging him and have a bit of fun with him.
Agree with you about the bad ones helping with...
Hi Chris,
I am currently looking for a car and have been for the past month or so, so I am your audience.
My brother is also looking for a car as is a friend of ours, so we are onto every Trophy advert that appears as soon as it does to pick it apart and formulate a reply to the seller.
The...
Wow, this seller sounds like a real pain in the ass.
What was the general condition of the car? I mean, wheels aside is it worth the £6k do you think?
I am surprised he was less than willing to even make any sort of deal in Jan after it had been sitting there for 6 months already. I wonder if...
So let's say I could get hold of them. Let's round it off to £200 per wheel. And assuming you would need tyres since the tyres on there are a different size and who would want used tyres on their new wheels? Let's call it £100 per tyre. So that's £1200.
i doubt the damper have been serviced...
I wanted to go have a look at this car just because it is not too far away, and to see what sort of a story the dealer would tell me.Any idea what it would cost to replace the Turinis?
