I think the wear rate on pe2s is very good. Especially when you take into account the grip and confidence they give you. They certainly wear better the contis fitted to 172 cups

I'd say about right, especially as the cambelt has been done. Only thing against it at that price would be the plate being an 05 and not 55. Sounds soft I know but it does make a difference
I have been looking at exhausts.
Most likely go for a k-tec system. Had a stealth on my 172 and really liked it combined with a 200 cell cat.
Also heard a 200 with one at the weekend and it sound great!!

If you want to uprate the brakes it can be done very cheap.
Brembo HC discs £60
Ferodo DS2500 £90 or Mintex 1144s for similar money.(or Pagid Blues at £140)
Braided lines will also help but not a must.
Main thing is good fluid well bled.
Just paid £7800 for a 55 plate on 19k.
Aux belt done and cambelt due in a year.
Great body work (even better now thanks to Zymol Concours and a Maguires G220) DS2500 with lots left.

They may buy some fancy stuff (although I doubt it) but a cheap set well setup will be much better than an expensive set mess about with by some no knowledge chav.
Infact I bet there are tons of car running expensive coilover kits that handle way worse than standard.
They did not make adjustable dampers non adjustable they used dampers from a company that makes adjustables fit a car and then locked them so owners would not ruin the handling, crash and sue them.
The best brains at Renault setup the best hot hatch ever so why unpin them?

The market has picked up! I got paid out 10350 for a car I paid 9000 for in feb.
I paid 7800 for a trophy with 18700 on which I think was a fair price!
I have used 4 different setups on MK2 RS Clios and would rate them in the following order
Pagid Blues, Braided Lines, Brembo Max discs
Ferodo DS2500, Brembo Max discs
Completely standard
Greenstuff Pads and EBC Turbo Groove discs(this setup was stupidly bad, avoid at all costs)

Do you need the full aux belt kit when doing the cambelt??
When my 172 had its belts done it was a cambelt kit with 3 pullys and an aux belt on its own.
