Best way to clean the wheels is to have 1 big go at them with neat or 1:1 bilberry, then clay them, the wax and seal.
After that your wheels will be mint and you be able to use billberry diluted between 1:5 and 1:10 and just pressure washer off.
Also if you go for a high carnuba wax they will...
How much do you want to spend??
£30 at halfords on autoglym etc will get a nice shiney car with a bit protection but you have to redo every other week
£100 on dodo will get a more shiney more protection and need redoing every 6 weeks
£250 on Zymol will get even more shine, loads of protection...
Just non metalic.
I suppose he could be wrong, however I can't find owt that says otherwise, I'll just stick to concours to make sure. It's better anyway.
It just says non metalic. Plus I know someone who bought it for a 197 and it was at a demo day I organised.
The guy who sold it him said it was fine as Lomb as it's a solid paint!
Only £500??? That will be Paul Daltons crystal which is (off the top of my head) 79% carnuba. Paul used to use Zymol Royale at £7k a tub but I heard a rumour he fell out with Zymol. To be fair Zymol sound like fussy buggers. To buy there 3 best waxes you need to apply to buy them. Vintage...
Not a fan of any dodo myself. Just got some sour power and don't like it. The rain forest rub was poor and the maguires clay kit from halfords is IMO better than the dodo with born slippy.
IMO zymol makes dodo look very very ordinary
Getting about 32 according to the trip but from my last MK2 clio the trip was optamistic by about 10%.
With my 172 Cup, I took it to the 'Ring, enjoyed the german roads, did six laps on the ring and still got 31mpg on the trip.
Been thinking, I'm only gonna be doing about 4000 miles a year in the Trophy and have always fancied some white 15" Speedline 2118 wrapped in Toyo R888.
Any opinions??
I would budget more than the normal money for the shockers.
Id say average for having them done is about 35k and that costs just short of £600 all in. So with 5 times the mileage more could be wrong.
Im not saying it will defo cost more than normal but no harm in budgeting and a bonus if not.
To be honest I dont think it is that big of a bargin as a car. It may be £1900 but it sounds like it needs a few quid spending.
Do get me wrong it is still a good buy but try part exchanging it in a year and see what you get.
However if you look at it in terms of parts then if you wanted to...
I guessed it may be him.
He was never pro trophy!
Yeah I know the sachs arnt the best but the last owner had some konis at the back and some mark fish springs all round. He said it made it twitchy although it was faster.
The trophy has always been about the perfect compramise and not out and...
