Best thing is to get properly shown how to do it!! I organized a demo at NEDetailing last year and the advice really helped.

For me when it comes to detailing its not shine you get on day one its the ease of getting that shine back after a period of time. After putting in some serious graft last September it takes me less than an hour to get the outside of the car looking amazing.

Whatever you do don't polish it, it's a world of headaches!! Tried on my cup and it never looked great, even if you pay for it for me it's still not perfect! Therefore my advice would be a wire brush!! It comes up great!!

The rears don't need any messing with! Infact on the most track focused Clio I.e. 172 cup the rears we so bad they failed mots but having drive both on track I have to say I prefer the 172 cups setup to the trophy's!

Rather than just some bolt on mods I'd rather speculate my cash on strengthening the whole engine and fitting custom cams that would allow it to rev beyond 9000 rpm, then lower the gearing to keep the max speed in each gear the same as now!! Bet that would cost big big money!!

You can't say it on the other forum :wink: but I dont think a 200 Cup is quicker that a Trophy. The test that 5th gear did 182 Cup vs 200 Cup came up with a 2 second gap but Renault quoted 1-2 seconds per mile 182 Cup vs Trophy so that would put em square. However the owner of the 182 cup said...
