I work at ferguson modular just round the corner, I had just finished. Yeah that badge got taken off today because it wasn't sitting right and a new one put on. That's just the standard exhaust I have on. Yeah if I see you again ill be sure to stop for a chat.
I see! I didn't know that. Ill get it checked on Tuesday with the service. I know the guy that owns the garage an he always does diagnostics free for me so its no loss if it doesn't pick up anything.
It's not showing a fault on the dash, or any lights either so I don't know if a fault reader will pick anything up. It's always worth a try though, thanks for the help!
Should I be able to move the butterfly freely enough with my hand on the throttle body? Just wondering how I can tell without forking out for a new one to find out that's not it.
I'm not sure I haven't checked anything yet. Will have a look though. I thought it could maybe be the throttle body sticking also? There's no lights that come on the dash or anything, so whatever it is the car isn't registering it.
This happened to me for the second time tonight. The car was just about up to temparature and I was doing 70 down the dual carriageway and I suddenly loose all throttle response and the car just coasts along for about 10 seconds until it comes to life again. The engine stays running fine. It's...
Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll just stick a set of the 45's on my standard wheels as they're wrecked anyways. And I'll buy a nice new set of turinis for the summer months.
Yeah they would be cheaper, but then I have to factor in the cost of a whole new set of wheels too. I'd be better just paying that bit extra for the 45's
I've been looking at winter tyres for next year already seeing as it makes up about 9 months of the year these days! Has anyone put on 55 tyres instead of the recommended 45's? Not only are they cheaper in the 55 size but they will also give better traction in the snow and also a bit more ground...
I think that just suggests that there was only 470 regestered at the time? The other 30 would of still been unsold. Either that or they were being used as a demo car by renault or something along those lines.
Yeah they were changed at different times. This was all before I owned the car. The timing belt was last changed in August 2010 so I'm well within the 5 year period. So I don't need to get that changed just yet?
Hi, I'm putting my T in for its MOT and a major service next week. It's been exactly 36k since the aux belt was done so that will definitely be getting changed but I can't decide if the timing belt needs done too. It has already been changed at about 40k/45k (car is currently on 72k) am I just...
Is there a hole in the back of the standard CD player to fit a cable of some description so I can connect my iPod/iPhone? I've considered buying one of those transmitters but they can be rather unreliable..
ta!
I've also read a lot about the new Clio and the engine seems pretty good, with a lot of F1 technology being used. And that goes for the car as a whole. I imagine that they've gone for a 1.6 rather than a 2.0 because the rs clios are all about the handling and not power. Although I have to agree...
Hi, my trophy is away to get a major service. So was it the best brake fluid, coolant and gearbox oil to use? I already have the Titan race engine oil so I have that covered.
thanks.
I'm on standard springs just now but I thought it was common knowledge that sport lines creak on full lock? I'm just looking at different set ups just now.
