I put silicon sealant around the boot hinges, pretty sure this has made it leak less. Next step I guess is to try and get at the boot hinge nuts, remove and then properly re-seal these hinges. Hopefully this will work, if I can figure out how to remove the headlining.

I too broke the little metal bit you have taken photos of. I was able to place the broken piece of metal further forward and the seat would lock further forward. Not sure the seat locked properly and safely so eventually I replaced the runners. Stupid expensive and Renault gave me the wrong one...

complete waste of money. I was charged over £100 and when I asked how much metal was removed I was told very little as these engines don't really need it done in the first place. As this was part of an exhaust and induction change with remap I can't tell you how much difference it made.
