i could be tempted to part with the full set or trophy springs i have that were swapped out for mark fish/eibach ones before i got the car at 19k. drop me a pm or check 319 for sale thread for my number.
some updated photos. it's been raining the past couple of days so not managed to get some inside shots. will get them later.
photos of under the bonnet and of the winter wheels/tyres that will come with the car if the right price is met. i can obviously reduce the price of the car if these are...
lowest mileage one i have seen recently was in guernsey and it was like new, it also came with a premium price tag to match.
my advice is buy the best you can find/afford within reason. if your going to drive it then don't bother with a low mileage minter like the above from guernsey. you'll...
i believe he makes camber changes and fit's eibach springs. they are lower and fit with standard shocks ok.
received the replacement exhaust trims from Renault and fitting them this evening. it looks great after it's deep clean, wish i could keep it but it's got to go to a new home. :( will...
also meant to say in the above post that car will come with 2 x covers for the recaros.
ordered the exhaust trims surrounds at cost of £27 each. these should be here and fitted on Wednesday.
more photos to come once i pick it up tomorrow from being cleaned at paulpeacocke.

i bought this in June 2009 with just under 19k on the clock. i wanted a modern version of the mk1 Golf Gti and i the Trophy was the best car i could find. i was...
cheers for the reply.
it's got mark fish supplied eibach springs on it so a bit lower than std.
bilstein don't do an adjustable shock but do have a lowered version. they have always had a great name in the vw circles.
i've got avo's on my track car and not had any issues with them. are their...
i think i will be in need of some rear shocks soon.
what's your thoughts on replacements?
i was going to go for koni or original trophy sachs.
i've been quoted £113 inc vat + postage for the trophy sachs
and £93 inc vat + postage for Koni's.
i am tempted by the £40 saving from the trophy...

i've got one and it was just under £70 from dealer at the time but might be available for less via a better...
it would be the clio ones i would go for in 15". i would probably get some used ones and get them painted up for less than the cost of a couple of new ones!! just not sure if they will clear the brakes though. i would post on cliosport but that forum annoys my happiness. even more so when i...
my mate runs his own tyre company so he can get decent rates on tyres and can get any brand. he advised 15" as there is more choice and prices are cheaper than 16". theres also more wheels out there in 15". really tempted by a set of white steels. does anyone know if the 15" clio versions clear...
does anyone run winter wheels on their trophy?
thinking about doing it this year to protect the trophy wheels but mostly to ensure i've got tyres more suited to the wet and cold conditions found over winter.
15" seems like the best option for winter tyres, they are all typically a larger...
Re: Project : Workshop (56K ?!)
updates required! it should be done by now. :)
i will need to send you a pm. my uncle is building a house and i have just about convinced him to build something similar to house my race car tools and his mg. :)
could have been me. was heading south on saturday morning and back north on sunday night after being at a vw show near silverstone. seen a load of renaults on the sunday morning and had 2 v6's beside me on the motorway for a good bit. assume it was french car show or similar?
hit some road kill yesterday and ended up with some cracked plastics. :(
need a bumper, splitter and undertray section from the rhs. ideally the bumper in trophy red if not then anything that will need very little prep work.

just hit some road kill today and cracked my bumper and splitter. :(
would be interested in the more flexible cup racer one. will keep an eye on this post for details on where to get them!
anyone had any issues with the car not being insured as a trophy and only as a cup?
about to start looking for insurance and checked the docs from when i switched my policy and they have it down as a cup! main issue of concern would be the replacement of trophy shocks with cup ones after a bump.
if it's a constant noise then it's probably cv joint, brakes or wheel bearing.
bushes and suspension tend to only make noise when they hit bumps etc that will force them to move.
simple solution is get it checked by a trust worthy garage.
lady driving? i doubt it was me then.
i can be seen on the bypass most mornings but normally closer to 8am. soon to change with the flat in town.
think there was one for sale recently in west lothian that had so55 plate on it. quite possibly that car.
does anyone know where i can get a decent set of front seat covers?
theres some on ebay at £45+ each which is a bit rich for my liking. spotted these as well which look like they could do the job. anyone know if they fit or not...
benefits of carbon bonnet is weight reduction. just make sure it's a decent quality as i have seen some that weight almost as much as the original bonnet. for example my mk1 golf carbon bonnet i can lift with my pinky. :D
anything else is just for 'aesthetic' reasons. remember that exopy...
got a problem with my boot lock, it won't lock, just stays open all the time. :( any ideas on solenoid part costs and how tricky a job it is to fit?
