I wasn't really asking this, I think everyone who knows anything about cars knows an Exige can't compete with a proper Seven on track, the fact that they weigh 300kgs less aside, the engines are more powerful! There's not much that can touch an R500 for lap time, except maybe Donkey's S2000...

Not contentious. Unless they build a MK III 380 V6, with the Supercharged 3.5 V6 from the 350Z - S. It'll need near 400bhp to shift it's great, fat arse along the road at a decent lick.

Just thought I'd reiterate this. Niche car it may be, but it's still a damn site more desirable than a 197 to the average driving enthusiast. I'm so used to the speed of the Trophy now, a 197 must feel really slow after a while.

I too considered the Dark Grey, but decided to go with Balck because the carpets were black. They will stand out more in Anthracite. I'd say go for it, it's not like you're going for Capsicum Red ones and it could look bloody awful!

I agree, it's a lovely car and I would happily own it but it's the fucking Lexus tail lights that put it firmly in the Chav camp for me. There are many that would put the Trophy there too though, and I'd have to kill them with a bread knife so feel free to defend the Scoob...

I remember someone saying they were only the bottom of the range crappy Trendlines and nowhere near as nice as proper Recaro ones. I said what does that make the Swiss ones then?! You get the exact same seats in lots of performance cars, they're a real favourite, I've never known better seats...

I had never heard of a Golf Rallye. Cool. I love Superchargers, I spoke to a VW nut once who fitted a G60 charger to his Corrado VR6, it was all done properly and was dyno'd at 250bhp. Not bad in a car weighing 1200kg!
