Quick question whilst this thread is going so well
- what pads would anyone recommend for hand polishing? Also what products and any methodology advice? (polish only)

Sorry Steve, I'm not trying to pick a fight, but if that was true we wouldn't be seeing various Ex 197 owners enjoying Trophy/182/172 ownership..
Thank you for sharing a nicely written personal comparison with us. I'm sure there's no doubt in anyone's mind that the 200 has moved things on in terms of build quality and providing a different level of driving experience to the Trophy. I really must drive one some time!
Ultimately I guess...
To some degree I agree with Cue.. DW became an endless pit of indecision for me.. I have purchased various wash products, but could never decide which polish & wax/sealant combo I fancy.. (the wax v sealant debate is vast enough in itself..). As with every forum and piece of advice from an...
I renewed with Greenlight back in Oct 09 and my premium was exactly the same as the previous yr.. When questioned over whether they could better their quote, they simply said, "we give our customers the most competitive quote straight away, therefore this is our best price". To be fair I was...
LOL, nothing personal to Luke of course..!!!
I may be interested depending upon price.. Does anyone else get much lateral movement? Mine seems fairly solid vertically but will move side to side without too much difficulty..
Welcome along Paul, sorry to hear of your issue.
Many of us have had the emissions light on. Can be for various reasons - there are two sensors in the exhaust, one upstream of the cat and one downstream, therefore it can be due to either failing. Generally, I think it would be best to avoid...
Well I was under the impression that I would be able to rejoin it if I ever wished to use it again. I would keep it but my parents are going spare at the volume of clutter that I have at home.. I've been instructed to shift it, else it will disappear..!!
Hi chaps
I wonder if anyone can advise me; I have my old standard exhaust, sawn off in order to be removed. It's fairly rusty, but I guess may have some life left in it.. Is it worth trying to sell, or simply worthy of scrap?
Cheers
Mind often sits for a number of days, perhaps up to a week.. Is it advisible to avoid leaving it with the handbrake on and simply leave it in gear under such circumstances?
I've tried megs water magnet and sonus der wunder and found that they're not soft enough - they harden as time goes on. Also, the megs becomes really inefficient after a while. However, I recently purchased two of these and they are mega soft!
Every year I think, maybe this year we'll manage a combined Trophy & MTB weekend.. Each year I fail to get it off the ground.. Any takers or organisers?
J - I rode the lakes on my hardtail and ok I don't do crazy downhills but if you just want to trail ride then hardtails are fine. That said, it is slightly more comfortable and easier on a full susser (get out clause for me being slower! )
Ben - that is a tasty looking machine!
Having never been able to master a bunny hop (I cheat and use SPD's.. ) I have stuck to XC..
Had a Scott Yecora which I steadily modified until the only remaining original part was the frame. Then CRC were selling my dream frame at a ridiculous...
I rode in the Lakes 2 summers ago; just some XC stuff. Had an absolute blast, although made the mistake of trying to ride a footpath which had boulders on it going uphill - suffice to say that we carried our bikes a great deal of the time.. D'oh!
I'll see if I can dig out roughly where we were...
Spotted approaching the traffic lights at the Petits Lane junction. I think it had a personalised plate, starting with R, however I was travelling in the opposite direction so wasn't sufficiently fast to fully catch it..
Absolutely - in the interests of fair competition, it would be reasonable to compare the products and processes of both known companies. Right now, one's enjoying something of a monopoly situation.
When I had one new tyre, they fitted a W by accident and as it was on the front, I could really tell the difference on turn in. I only had it on for a couple of hours before I took it back and asked them to correct it (I believe it would have been an MOT failure otherwise). I think the W is also...
