For those with a CS user account, here's a link to a thread in which JMS trialled fitting a 197 wheel. If you read through to the end, you'll see that they chose not to offer it as a service due to various technicalities of proving airbag safety..
Definitely should organise a MTb meet - good plan! Although I had to give my borrowed sus forks back recently so I only have half a bike! Anyone ever service rockshox duke air forks?! Equally does anyone know of some cheap fox forks up or sale?! :D
back on topic, let me know postage cost and...
Hey Tim, yes I most certainly would still like a pair please. Any ideas on likely postage cost? Mind you, I could wait until the next meet.. Depending upon how long that is?! Don't like the idea of leaving you out of pocket!
Just looking at Goodwood breakfast mornings..

Thanks rich- interesting to hear that your mileage is roughly the same as mine; not especially high.. I'm no mechanic either.. I'll have to ask someone that is, as to the likely causes of failure.
Ultimately, to everyone else, you could replace it (even if it didn't need it) because it's...
Hmmm, it appears not to be a 'cut and dry' matter. What would the resultant signs be if the water pump were to fail? - overheating?
I guess it's ultimately a question to pose to the garage for an opinion, come service time.
Richjones - what sort of mileage had your T covered at the time you...
I must have missed some discussions somewhere, but can someone please tell me why many people are suggesting it's necessary to change the water pump please? - is this official Renault guidelines or something that has been found to be generally faulty around this age...?
Could be due to many being on the market at the moment and some people's keenness to sell quickly, thus reducing the price they're willing to accept, which has a knock on effect upon everyone else trying to sell..?
Very very nice- I saw an rs with black wheels just days ago and felt that it set it off really well. Matches nicley with the spoiler and other black sections..
Ace colour choice- black contrasted with red looks purposeful.
Enjoy your new purchase and keep us updated with your views as you spend more time driving it :D
always good to see old faces reappearing from time to time. Is the mini going? - What's it been like to own? I have made a semi pact with the GF that if we ever have to go down to one car, we'll sell them T and her cooper and get a cooper S (pref JCW GP)..
(Sorry to change the topic..!!)
Good grief... Do they take us for mugs or what???!!!!
I must find a mo to speak with my neighbour; he works for a custom zorst outfit called pipecraft.
It's a panel van style so the back seat was a retro fit jobbie. Pretty comfy but not awesome and terrible for viewing the road ahead; or rather not!! Just thankful that this one is far from standard - running a full expedition setup, including suitably tweaked engine.. Still cruised at 65-70...
ermm... Well we had loads of gear, plus 3 people.. The T would have required the rear seats down for a snowboard, let alone all of the other kit we had.. (Not prepared to use a rack..).
It was freaking cold in the back too.. But it was just about worth it for the fun that we had with it in the...
Indeed; when we drove down to Austria last Feb in a Landy Defender, I couldn't believe how aggressively we were treated - I'm always very careful to pull out when there's a significant gap but they would come barrelling up behind from miles away and then on our bumper.. Very annoying!
At least...
Welcome along, it's always good to have new visitors!
Indeed you're right, we suffer precisely the same issues with claimed and actual power figures.. Also extracting a reasonable increase in power is a highly expensive process for our engines.. Significant gains can realistically only be...
