Have a search - we've covered the topic a number of times and you may find some useful information in previous threads. :)
I have a feeling that no one has used a rear hung rack as yet. I know that a number of people have used roof bars, although you don't want to put too much weight on them...
My max are holding up nicely and must have been running for a minimum of 12k miles (probably more), with ds2500 pads. I went for grooved in the hope that they would disipate water better, having experienced some pretty scary moments on wet motorways with the OE setup, when I first owned the car...
I have a full kit with td 8 brain to sell. No decisions on price as yet, but I thought I'd post on here in case anyone happens to be interested, before it heads for good old eBay.
Feel free to ask questions.. I will be getting photos soon.
Cheers
Sounds good - keep the updates coming as time goes on. Should be interesting to see how they handle snow.. Not that any summer tyres are likely to be especially good..
Yup, my DS2500s have been through periods of intense squealing which I eventually managed to ignore.. I think they may have ceased doing it now, but it could be more a case of no longer noticing..!
Mark, they're sending me a scooby bonnet scoop and m3 mirrors in the post as an apology.. Gutted as I'd just finished my baggin' install with 500 subs and was hoping to bag a feature soon..
Interesting - thanks for comments guys. The VAG family has left me wondering which avenue of the family he should go down!? Are the a3s fun to drive? Evo always seem to rate them as a touch anodyne? (not that their ratings are necessarily the be all and end all!)
^^ my dad's been toying with an a3 s-line 170ps in 4 door guise.. He likes the idea of dsg 'box as he's deAf, thus although he can drive a manual, it's less hassle to drive an auto and since trying the dsg, finds traditional torque converters a touch sluggish.
One assumes your colleague rates...
On the theme of a few comments above about adventures... Any suggestions for a honeymoon next Oct fulfilling the following:
- A bit of adventure
- A bit of history
- Time to chill and relax
- Preferably luxury accomodation
Now the potentially tough bit..
We only have at most 7 days, so don't...
Lovely car, but matt black is certainly not a finish that is to my taste. I think that certain cars can pull it off, but the M5 is not one of them - the image on the previous page looks a bit too 'gangster' for my liking.
