I don't think there are any monkeys on here. But I can appreciate people's frustration with going to the dealership. The trouble now seems to be that everything is controlled by electronic parts making small problems difficult to solve.
What's most frustrating is when the secretary tells...
I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I keep leaving my car with them for a week only to find nothing has been solved. I don't think they even believe there's a problem. That's why I was thinking of taking it somewhere with a rolling road.
Thanks Cue. It could be the same thing. It's just had it's 24K service and I always use super unleaded. The oil levels are fine. I have had problems with the water temperature sensor in the past but this certainly seems ok at the moment. The trouble started about 6 months ago. Nothing weather...
Does anyone know of a problem where the car seems to lack power. My car seems to lack power intermittently. At its worst it drives as if it has around 80 / 90 hp. It has no low down torque meaning it's most noticeable when pulling away or trying to overtake other traffic. It also runs a bit...
First time I've seen another trophy on the road. I passed you on my motorbike and put my thumb up. I was happy I managed to slow down for the police car  Also glad to be on the bike with so much traffic. I filtered through traffic most of the way around the M25 and M3 :D
I haven't driven one yet but I'm considering it for my next car. Did you drive a new one with the new engine? It's supposed to be better and keener to rev. I think it could do with being a foot shorter and a bit lighter though. :D
Take the BMW. It's perfect for that journey.
I've driven my Trophy to Paris and back loads of times and it's not great for it. When you come back you'll get back in the clio and love it.
If you took the clio it would feel horrible when you get back because you'll realise how crashy the...
That's the problem. It's expensive to replace the Trophy!
I had my bike test for 6 years before I could afford to run a road bike along with a car. Still have to keep it at my parents at the moment though. I don't have a garage.
Interesting thread this. Dissappointed to hear that people don't like the 350Z too much and surprised anyone would swap the Trophy for a Civic!
The Exige is great, but I'd need to run 2 cars to have one.
Riding a bike is fantastic, and in the right hands they will corner faster...
Obvious choices for me. It's between a 350Z, E46 M3 or 3.4 996. :? I know everyone loves the 993 but It's getting on a bit! Not changing for a while though.
Trouble is, nobody pulls out of the fast lane for a clio.
Summer is gsx-r 750 time again though :D
That's what Orbisoud call it. I don't know how different it is to the clio cup cars though. After trying to research these and comments from Asim and Neophyte I picked up a soft version ( extra silencer) from Orbisoud. The guy showed me around. Everything else was for Ferrari's when I was there...
There was one French Trophy. I met the guy at work. It wasn't a Swiss one. He said it was the only French one, direct from Renaultsport. If there's a 00 in the UK then that adds up. 501 + 50 +1 .
Last time I saw him he was in a black 182 though. I don't know if he had sold it or what. He...
Steve,
I've been meaning to get to Orbisoud for ages to have one fitted. I like the idea of having a legal sports cat. You could add my name to the list.
Cheers,
Luke.
Noodle,
I think mine has been the same, but it only releases when I push it hard and let go. I'm not sure if I have been pushing the pedal past the switch, but probably! It all happens pretty quickly!
It hasn't stuck for a few days now but I'll have a good look at the...
My throttle jammed on saturday. I pushed it a couple of times and it released itself. It happened again twice this morning though. My passenger wasn't impressed!
Anyone know what this is yet?

By the way I got an Archos 604 from amazon and have had loads of trouble with it! I wouldn't recommend getting one.
IMO, tight cornering gets the inside rear in the air quite easily.
On long fast corners I take regularly, I found the point where the wheel is just leaving the ground a bit sketchy! When it's just lifting and touching again It feels a bit like the back is going to come around. If you...
I word of caution against the EBC yellowstuff. I fitted them to replace the original pads. They are much better, but I think they take too much to heat up for everyday use. Had a couple of scary moments when you get to the first roundabout and nothing happens!
As someone mentioned...
