I've checked the damper pressures this morning and after 8 years since last service the readings are as follows..
Drivers side - 75 PSI
Passenger side - 70 PSI
I don't know what they were originally gassed too but going by your figures Rik they're still around optimum pressures. Not bad after...
It's virtually the same but there are small differences, they're still made by the same people, I believe, K-tec just sell them now.
The original Yozzasport was designed and supplied by Yozzasport, then they moved to Australia and BTM took over the distribution rights, that's when I bought...
It's the original style Yozza, bought from Fred.
It's quite loud but I don't know how how it compares to the latest version. If you fit a de-cat it becomes wild.
That doesn't solve the issue of you looking and sounding like a boy racer. Besides, I've decided my Yozzasport is far superior, I will buy yours purely to help you out, I'm thoughtful like that.
It's only a case of removing the lower damper bolts. I'll be happy to fit it for anyone if they can be bothered to travel to my workshop in South Cumbria, piece of cake on the 4 post.
I'm afraid I can't turn off any editing restrictions. You only have a few minutes to alter a post after submitting it, after that it can only be edited by an admin or mod.
You'll have to copy and paste it each time Chris. I'd be happy to keep editing it for you but I don't know if someone has...
Test date 4 August 2015
Test Result Fail
Odometer reading 71,653 miles
MOT test number 6169 3681 5278
Reason(s) for failure
Exhaust catalytic converter missing where one was fitted as standard (7.1.3)
Nice try.
Well, before you commit to buying some give me a heads up and if you would like to take mine for a drive to see what they're like you're quite welcome.
I wish the Lake District wasn't a popular tourist destination. There's some really good roads here but during the spring and summer they're flooded with cars, then during the winter they're flooded with water.
Every now and then, as if by luck, a random drive will take place that's pure magic...
Saint27 has summed them up well, the difference is phenomenal, for that reason I wouldn't change them. They reduce engine and gearbox movement considerably.
I live in the Dalton in Furness area. Trophys are a rare sighting around here, apparently, there is/was one that frequently parks at the...
Yes I've seen those, they look like just the job. They may well have stopped the exhaust from moving so much but I couldn't say for sure. I only ever had the standard mounts fitted.
I have the vibratechnic engine mounts fitted. It feels like the engine is bolted to your spine. I'm close to being diagnosed with vibration white finger.
I used to have an RS192 fitted. It wasn't much louder than the standard exhaust but it had a slightly deeper sound. I fitted a decat pipe to it which made it considerably louder.
It was a nice system, however, I had a constant alignment problem with it. It would line up in the cut outs nicely...
Cheers Rik. I figured the pressure would dissipate over time. I have access to nitrogen at work as we use it frequently for topping up accumulators in hydraulic systems. I've never bothered to check mine though, I wasn't sure what the optimum pressure was. I should imagine after 8 years there...
Just out of interest... Have you been checking the nitrogen pressures before the disassembly of the dampers? If so, how does this compare to the required figure on average?
