    OEM backbox

All the original exhausts fitted to the Trophy's were 1 piece, however, I'm led to believe that more recent orders of new exhausts have been supplied in 2 sections.

    OEM Trophy Springs

Yes, I didn't mean to cause any confusion. The springs above are the Mark Fish type. I'm pretty sure the diameter of the steel is the same as OEM, I'll confirm this next week. The rubber tubing used above is thinner than what was originally fitted but hopefully it will stay intact, time will tell.

    OEM Trophy Springs

That tubing is spot on, cheers. I bought 1M of it and when cut in half theres enough to go around 1 1/2 coils of the spring which is about right. I used airline oil to get them on otherwise they wouldn't be going anywhere.

dose any one know what this is or were it is from on a clio trophy ?

I spent a while yesterday looking around for anything that resembled the item in the picture but I couldn't find anything. I thought it may belong behind an interior panel but if it's fallen off onto your driveway then that's unlikely to be the case. I'm removing most of the exterior trim...

    Reproduction original Sachs decals

I would like to purchase a set Dave, however, the stickers fell off a long time ago and I have no idea what the serial numbers are.

    Brake calipers colour poll.

Lovely. Nice colour choice, they look more grey than silver.

    3. Faulty Oxygen Sensor. This is not the MAP sensor, the MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) is attached to the inlet manifold. It measures air density so that the correct fuel/air ratio can be achieved. The Oxygen sensor in question is attached to the exhaust manifold, before the catalyst...

    Funding your Trophy...

I'm a Wind Turbine Technician. I work on an offshore wind farm carrying out annual service work and fault finding. I've been doing it for 6 years now. It pays rather well and due to weather conditions and my shift pattern I'm virtually semi retired. I wish I was retired.

    Brake calipers colour poll.

I voted black but grey would have been my second choice. Red seems to be a popular choice but I don't like it.

    Exhaust information needed

That's correct. 8200228260 & 8200228347 are the part numbers I believe. I edited the post yesterday after I posted the wrong numbers. You must have copied the numbers before I edited it. I posted part numbers for the 172. If you look at my post above you can see when I changed it. Apologies for...

    In two minds..............

Chris, you've clearly lost your mind mate, but don't worry, you'll find it again at the end of the WW2017. In the meantime, get both belts done.

    Stiff clutch

Mine's quite stiff now, I've done 72k. I believe the stiffness comes from the pressure plate/diaphragm and not so much the cable, although, this will also become less free over time. I think it's more than likely age related. Most people who have changed their clutch have reported a vast...

Spare parts and bits for Clio/Trophy

Hi Mikey. Have the calipers been fitted to the car at any point or are they fresh from refurb? Cheers

    Exhaust information needed

Basically the standard exhaust consists of the 4-2-1 Manifold, Catalyst Converter and centre section/back boxes. The centre section/back boxes are supplies as 1 piece, so everything from the cat back is 1 piece.

    OEM or Not

I always use OEM parts. The only exception is when fitting or replacing uprated parts/modifications.

Cool. I'll make a list when I get a minute and post a new thread. If everyone keeps sharing their findings I'll just keep re-editing the original post so that all the information is on the same page.

    Cam/Aux Belt Replacement

No you'll need to order those separately, or look for a kit which has the job lot. It's entirely up to you if you want to fit those extra parts, they're not totally necessary, it's just good practice to replace them whilst doing the job. All good specialist will replace them as part of a cam...

    Cam/Aux Belt Replacement

The part number for the cam belt kit you are looking at is the same as the one I ordered when I did mine 130C12131R. You also need the camshaft sealing kit 7701471629, it comes with the 2 camshaft seals (on the pulley side) and replacement pully fasteners. Approx £18 New crankshaft pully bolt...

    Exhaust information needed

The standard cat is a separate piece. Our Trophys are fitted with SMI steering racks, they always ask me that when ordering track rod ends. The part numbers are 7701474492 (NSF) and 7701474493 (OSF). Front Eibach springs 8200514730 Hand brake cables 8200228260 (OSR) 8200228347 (NSR)

    Another DIY Sachs Rebuild/Service

@hawk18, I topped mine up so they were both at 75PSI. To be honest I only did this as they're coming off soon for service, otherwise I would have just left them. I wouldn't like to comment on how adding air will affect the performance. I think Rik was just suggesting that it's better to do so...

Yep, you only have a short period of time after submitting the post to edit it, I don't know how long exactly, few minutes maybe. Dave, I can either edit it for you or I can delete the post for you so you can start again?
