Lol, far from expert, but I clean the underside of mine with some diluted Bilberry wheel cleaner and a soft brush.
depends how bad it is as to what to use but a good cleaner and brushes are a good place to start to remove all the surface dirt and see what’s underneath.
Bilberry wheel cleaner...
I use a Varta 520Ah (063 size) The 63 is the correct size for the car and will give you the most room for an induction kit should you want it before going to a super small AGM or LiFe04 race battery
Cars a daily driver, always has plenty of poke spinning the F4R over :)
Oil service on the daily today with the addition of fitting the @stahlbus dry-break oil valve.
This little chap replaced the sump plug and allows me to clip in an oil drain tube to perform an oil service. Upon making the connection it instantly drains the system. Upon removal the dry break valve...
Well its not like you're tattooing your face, so you could take a punt on some to try and see how you get on.
Worst ways you go back to stock and flog the others on, its a 20 min job changing a set of pads so worth a play.
Unfortunately its one of those things you really need to try a few and...
Pads are such a subjective topic and really comes down to vehicle use, driving style and application.
DS2500s are usually the "go to" pad for anyone asking for a basic upgrade for a street car. Personally i hate them having tried them in many cars over many years years. Everything from 180bhp...
It’s actually from a Honda Integra.

Been a while since I've driven on track, (had a few cancelled trackdays due to C-19) but managed to get the Clio out at Snetterton on Tuesday.
There was a decent assortment of metal there inc many track/race cars, stripped out Minis, Clios, BMWs etc. The little Clio held its own very well and...
So, delighted with the fit/function of the Corvette ducts, I needed to address the finishing on the front of the car. So I contacted @04-182 about 3D printing me some finishers that fit into the OEM fog surrounds that also locate into the GM pieces.
A little back and forth with measurements and...
Thanks.
I’m not going to lie, it was a good few hours of cocking about. The bumper went on and off about a dozen times to make sure they were sitting as good as they possibly could be.
I had to relocate the horns further up to provide clearance and alter the formings to stop the tyres catching...
Finally got some time to look at fitting my Corvette brake ducts today. Although these are exceptionally close to an OEM fit, they do not fit right up on a road car.
There was a lot of fitting, warming, forming, tweeking in order to get these to clear certain parts of the chassis, align with the...
Beautiful collection Ashton.
Love the earlier models, especially the Kermit, they’re so perfectly proportioned with the lug widths and crown guards. It’s just when you put one on next to a maxi case version, they rattle and feel cheap. (They’re anything but cheap)
You also get the Glidelock on...
New mats and filter service on the Maxogen. Takes bloody ages to flush out all the old oil, even with the correct ITG cleaning solution, but worth it when you see the junk one of these collects in 20k of road miles. Should be good for a further 20k now.
Actually, I've just checked regarding weights.
Deadening was 8kg Dodo Hex, 3.5kg Noico 2mm, 2kg of Super liner. So less audio, if anyone wanted to do the same without audio its approx 13.5kg to do the whole car. I had a tiny bit left over but for weight purposes is negligible.
In conclusion:
Im not going to lie, it feels like its been a slog. A job i really wanted to do but so glad i broke it down into segments. To do properly just takes so much time and you can easily get carried away just rushing it as its pretty laborious.
The boot and back end took me a week of...
