Am considering getting the powerflex bushes as well, what difference has it made? i have an RS2 fitted with uprated engine mounts. Do you think they would work well together without being too harsh? Oh and i have a carbon splitter as well, looks cool.
has everybody received the RS2 from the group buy and had the remap and who's still having any problems i should be aware off. I am getting the remap on wednesday and can't wait to have it finally running as intended. I am heading up to Scotland to see my parents once Paul has remapped it ...
It seems to me a lot of people are replacing their rear dampers before they need to. The rear of the car is very light and there should not be much wear on them unless you drive over rough roads or on a circuit a lot. Obviously if they are leaking then you should. Mine have done 80 000 miles and...
I have PS3's on the front they are a few thousand miles old and are great in the wet, i also have nearly new PE2's on the back and am considering a swap to compare the difference's.
The decat sounds a bit better, more clean and complete and freer breathing without being much noisier. It's still subdued on part throttle. while it won't pass an emissions test if you know the guys doing the mot they will probably let it go for some beer money or you could put the cat on. If...
i bought one over a year ago, good quality and makes a nice noise, just a bit louder than standard a nice burble and not boomy at all when cruising, probably one of the quietest around and just what i wanted. If you want a classy sounding exhaust this is the one to go for. Just had the decat...
Hope there is no lasting damage to you or the trophy and he gets what is coming to him. From now on make sure you have a tyre iron under your seat.
Welcome, you are going to have lots of fun owning one and this forum is fantastic, you feel special being one of only 500 made. Good luck in your search.
I agree on the top mounts and have heard different opinions on strut braces as to whether they make that much difference on a modern car which is fairly stiff anyway, anybody know any more?
Good luck, its a shame to have to sell for such a low price. I have an 80k trophy which has had the suspension rebuilt and it feels fantastic, its just that people are scared by the mileage but really as long as their looked after they will feel the same as one with half the mileage, apparently...
My car is in at the moment and i was supposed to get it on saturday however Tom is not answering his phone which is concerning me and i need my car back. Does anyone know another way of contacting him?
Didn't know about the problems and i wish them all the best in the future. Tom has always tried to be as helpful as possible and although it has taken time to finally get the car finished apart from the remap it is getting done and i had already paid for all the work including the whiteline...
Closed down! my car is in there at the moment. Had the RS2 fitted 6 weeks ago but they didnt fit the decat and the whiteline arb and camber bolts. Tom is supposed to be coming to pick me up then i can collect the car.
Any more information would be helpful, i still have the remap to get so cant...
80000 miles going strong, these engines produce the most power around this mileage and am just about to pick it up from JMS have had the RS2, whiteline arb and front camber bolts fitted. should be fun :D
That was mine it was fairly clean apart from the exhaust, didn't get around to doing it because i don't gain any enjoyment from cleaning and would much rather somebody else did it :D The pink jumper ahhh didn't clean the inside and was not aware that was there, how embarrassing  , well...
The most fun you can have on three wheels and i doubt there will ever be anything similar for the money. Have no plans to sell, it's my only car at the moment. I should be doing the sensible thing and getting a diesel because originally i planned to do about 6000 miles max a year, it's now...
Am considering a swap myself, had some new ps3's fitted a couple of months ago, have nearly new pe2's on the back and don't think the car turns in as well, this may just be me getting used to the car so a swap would confirm this.
Very nice, a bit more grown up than a trophy but still got that lovely edge that Renaultsport do so well. would love to here your thoughts on it, would be on my list of next cars to buy. Like the colour subtle but distinctive with the black wheels. Enjoy :D
It was meant as a joke and i didn't think anybody would take it seriously. If you want to put a sub in, go for it. There's nothing wrong with a bit of bass,i love a good sound system, it's a pity the standard stereo is crap and you would really have to upgrade the lot to make it sound...
Adds weight, makes you look even more chavvy, costs money which would be better spent on maintenence/performance upgrades/fuel and trackdays. The cars about driving not cruising around at 30 at night and hanging about in local car parks, if you wanna do that buy a 1.2 and save yourself some...
Mike didn't give any reasons but he said it wasen't too bad. I think it may have got a bit more noticeable, recently changed the oil and filter it now has gulf competition oil in it, i may also just be over sensitive as i tend to pick up on these things and i know the oil change may have made...
My trophy has done 76000 miles and has a full history. It has a tappety/rattly top end which is more noticeable now the weathers warm and i have the windows down, the noise is more noticeable on the over run when driving along narrow streets because the sound bounces off the walls. The de-phaser...
