    Insurance

I've had fantastic service from Greenlight with a policy through Highway insurance. They came in at £200 less than the cheapest I could find anywhere else and haven't charged any extra for the blue flame. Also it's only £50 to get cover for a Trackday with the excess doubled. Obviously...

Hove - 02/10/06 Crossroads at the Drive and Cromwell Rd

Oli - When I saw you respond to this post I thought it was you in Hove . . Def didn't look much like you so glad I'm not going mad! Was good to catch up for a beer last night Steve, as you say would be good to get a few of us togethter for a drive then a drink. (rather than the other way...

Rattling seat - Names of dealers who have cured

Tates in Brighton did mine about 6 months ago. Seat runners again. I just said this rattles like hell, the seat runners need changing and they said yep.

    my trophy

Looks great, I'm feeling a bit ashamed about mine at the moment, she hasn't had a wax in weeks! I think a bit of pampering is in order this weekend. It's either that or we start the 'who's car's filthiest' game.

    V6 versus Trophy - comparison?

Have to say, that if I had the money for a run around as well, then I think the Trophy would have already gone in for part ex on a 255. I still jump up and down when I see one. I considered a 230 when I got the Trophy, but I can't live without the back seats! One day . . . . n.b - Not...

Hove - 02/10/06 Crossroads at the Drive and Cromwell Rd

Yet another Trophy in Brighton and yet another new plate by the looks of it. 55 plate ending in YTF or LTF I think. Gave you a flash and a wave but don't think you were looking. Must have been bout 1815 tonight. Looked cleaner than mine though that's for sure. I think I've seen 6-7 different...

    Heading towards West Hove Sainsbury's - 01/10/06 @ 1350ish

Think it was GP05? Think this might be the mystery Brighton one. He noticed me I think but might have just thought I was nuts due to the waving and smiling?! I was heading back to the bypass.

    Petrol station full of Trophy's

Think it may well have been Steve, altough I'm all X's and Z's. No K's for me. I was in Brighton stuck in lousy traffic at around that time trying to get down to the West Pier for some seriously good fun drowning (see bodyboarding) action. It's looking mighty fine for today too! You all...

    Petrol station full of Trophy's

I'd love to but can't get the time of work and funds are a little tight. Just on the verge of having to get 4 new tyres and discs and pads. Not looking forward to it! Might have a look and see whether motorsport vision are running anything general closer to Christmas though, as the price...

    Petrol station full of Trophy's

Pic I took at Brands back in August. The guys at the garage didn't really know what was going on. Tis me, OliS, Stuart and Nigel if I remember correctly. Plus Benny223 was round the corner somewhere me thinks after the morning fluid issues.

    Trophy meets Cup

Well said Nick. I STRUGGLE WITH THE CAPS LOCK SOMETIMES, but try to keep myself a little less excited. Although thanks to Steve and Hoolio I can now post pics, so could be difficult to restrain myself!

    how to compress pics?

Hi guys and gals, I am utterly useless when it comes to computers, and can't work out how I can upload pics as they are all too big. Trying to put some up in the garage section and sort myself an avtar but can't work it out. Can anyone lend a hand?! Olls

    Painted brake calipers

Glad to hear it mate! I struggle with a bit of a sticker fettish, but am trying very hard not to subject the trophy to it! So far just the ClioTrophy and Rentech stickers have made it on. :)

    Painted brake calipers

Off topic a bit - I used to love my Bombers like I love the shocks on the trophy! Having switched from Judy's to the first production pair of Bombers that came into the country (Used to run a bike shop) it was like a different world! They were on a gorgeous 94 S works FSR (Same one that Jason...

    Painted brake calipers

Leave them alone, or if you really have to then go silver! Supercars yes, Superhatches no. Steve - Mountain Bikes have cost me a fortune over the years! As you say, modifications are endless, but not cheap! I've had a couple of different S Works in the past and am now riding a Commencal Meta...

may have a new member soon.....

Mine always seems to arrive after everyone elses. I had to move my subscription back to my mum's house as well, as they kept going missing when delivered to my flat. They should deliver them in a plain brown bag to deter the dirty scoundrels!

    Servicing Intervals?

I think you'd be mad not to get the Trophy checked over properly every year. Especially if you go to a decent specialist. Mine's just hit the 10k mark, but had a yearly check up and Oil change back in July and the Trophy feels like new again. I think most people on here would agree that an oil...

Ditchling Road, Brighton, 13:05 18th September.

No worries Steve, the benefits of spending far too long in Brighton. Been here all my life bar a couple of years in NZ a few years back. Some great roads over there, gravel tracks everywhere if you know where to look. Had some of the best fun I've ever had in a car over there in my clapped out...

Ditchling Road, Brighton, 13:05 18th September.

Surrenden is a bizarre road. I've seen so many people pull out onto it from a side road amd drive up the wrong side of the road. Scary. Not that you need it now, but if you want a shortcut then stick on Surrenden all the way up, then head down Braybon - which Surrenden turns into. Just do a left...

Glad to hear it mate. The PV is my local, but we often make the trip down to the Open House just for a change of scenery. We were actually looking at a flat on Springfield ourselves a few months back before I found out that I'm tied in on the bloody mortgage for another 6 months. Let me know...

Absolutely. I'm very lucky at the mo. Living just off Surrenden Road and the parking is amazing. I get really cross now if I even have to park on the other side of the road! Open house is a nice little drinking hole. Just mind the speed bumps and the shock absorbers! My mate lives on...

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you mate, I drive up Millers road every morning on my way to work. Careful of the car if you're on Millers Road, I've seen some terrible driving going on up there. It's one of those roads where everyone forgets how to drive.

Don't think it was me Steve, although I was around the area at that time. Think it was prob the one that lives around the Friar/Surrenden area along with me. GP05 something or other. Still haven't spotted you out on the road yet mate, you working in Brighton now?

Great Vids Oli, It's nice to see that we're all on the pace, I still can't believe how nervy all the v6 drivers seemed to be! Has anyone looked at a group buy on foglights yet! Was a pleasure to meet everybody and thanks for the passenger ride Nick. Olly

    Trophy @ Rentech

That would be my little beasty  Very impressed with the service from Mike, I had to get one of my friends to take it in as couldn't get off work that day, so gutted that I couldnt speak to him about a few planned changes, but he did fit a new pipercross panel filter for me, full service...

12000 service - don't do it in Brighton

Have booked mine in to Rentech on July 14th having phoned Tates renault in Brighton for a price and being told that a) it didn't need servicing for 2 years or 18K miles, b) that it would cost £250 and c) that they recommended not going for 5W 40 oil as it didn't really need it. Having said...

Who's this in Churchill Square Car Park, Brighton?

think he's the mystery guy that lives round my way somewhere (Surrenden Road) I see him on the road occasionally, but we always seem to be heading in the opposite direction. I think he's probably a bit fed up with people waving at him and flashing him, as most of my mates still can't recognise...
