    trophy vs civic type r

Any run in's I've had with CTR's have always shown the CTR to have more top end grunt (Just as I ease off at legal speeds normally) they start to pull. One of my best friends has a facelift 53 with a viper and it's appreciably quicker as soon as you hit 4th. He still wants the trophy though...

    Mpg?

I'm either driving a lot harder or Vpower doesn't quite cut it, but in mixed driving I'm back to seeing bout 25-26 mpg. Pretty usual if you like 2nd gear I reckon. :D

Steve - Brighton on Sunday bout 4pm

Pulled out behind you as you were turning right at the bottom of Preston Drove buddy, gave you a good old flash, but don't know whether you were paying any attention! Had just been for a nice spin over the dyke before diving back to the shell for some go go juice. :D

    Trophy Secrets

I'm either the slowest I've ever been in my life, or I have found a new secret. It has taken me a year of ownership whining about why the stero stalk on the steering column doesn't have a skip function, and I now find that it does!!! (ridiculously long sentence) Someone tell me I haven't...

    Love my trophy

Still gutted that I couldn't get 182!

    Love my trophy

Might just be me, but I'm pretty sure that the Exalto's really start to deteriorate over time. With fresh boots on, 185 is loving the puddles! She was looking a bit grubby the other day, so went for a really nice blast over through ditchling, clayton, haywards heath etc. Flying along leaf strewn...

    Blueflame Group Buy No. 2

It's the guy that runs Karis developments - can't remember his name now. They're doing the king alfred development. Private plate, SENSE Black with tan leather, very, very nice. The guy in the offices next to us has just picked up a new LP640 as well to join his 430 spider and his...

    Blueflame Group Buy No. 2

I had a garage in Brighton fit mine, and they did a great job. I just called Nigel at Blueflame and asked them if they could recommend anyone near by. Just parked next to a gorgeous new 599 and fallen in love. WOW!

    Blueflame Group Buy No. 2

Very happy with mine from the last group buy (cheers Rory!) and have to say that for the money, they're spot on. Never too loud, but do sound a bit more like the Trophy's got more than the 120 bhp it sounds like as standard! Loving mine :D Would go for the orbisoud if money was no...

    So...........

I'm betting on Tuaca. He lives opposite a pub that serves it (don't think you can get it anywhere but Brighton still) and it does tend to take you from drunk to ruined without you noticing! Can't beleive I missed all the action last night! Where are you Steve

Is this a good price for Exaltos?

I've literally just bought 4 new exalto's from mytyres.com (having swapped the front's for the rears at about 6k) having covered 11k and they set me back £77 a corner + £30 at a local kwik fit (friend of a friend - therefore safe hands!) for fitting and balancing. To be honest though...

If you could only ever own one car...

I think that a mint 20v Ur Quattro would have to be on my list. Properly iconic car. My dad had one of the very first 20v and I've loved em ever since.

If you could only ever own one car...

Gotta agree with Day. It's the only car that looks good in baby blue (although I would probably put up with the Gallardo spider in blue too) and they are still the ultimate iconic porsche if you ask me. If it wasn't for the reliability issues, it would have to be an Alfa SZ though...

    VW Golf R GTI

You have to trust me on these things Steve! I've got a 6th sense for this sort of thing!

    VW Golf R GTI

Oh come on Steve! A few red lines and you're half way to the downsized, modernised A-team van, and you can't say fairer than that!

    Major condensation!

I think there must have been a massive temp change that night, as it seems to be completely fine again now. Very strange. Thanks for all the inputs guys!

What sort of mileages are your 'tomatos' at???

Get some pictures up Dave! That's got to be a first, 2 Trophy's in the same house. Like it. :)

    Major condensation!

I'm probably just whining! It definitely doesn't have any damp patches anywhere, I even took the damp footy kit out of the boot last week, so can't be that. Think I might have to invest in some of the anti mist stuff Nick, it might just make the difference. Thanks for the aircon...

    Major condensation!

Now the rubbish weather is back with full force, I seem to be getting a ridiculous amount of condensation. Literally at the stage of thinking about installing some wipers on the inside of the screen! Has anyone else experienced this, or do I need to get it in to the stealers for them to scratch...

What sort of mileages are your 'tomatos' at???

Just over 10500 and very enjoyable they've been too. Just got a Pipercross Panel Filter (Mike at Rentech didn't have any ITG's when it went in!) and Blue Flame cat back system. Just ordered 4 new tyres from www.mytyres.co.uk as it's like driving on ice at the moment. Is it just me or do the...

Keeping plastic bits black and shiny?

I used some Simoniz stuff at the weekend that has worked better than anything I have tried so far. Although it's only been a few days so no idea of longevity! Most of the other products I've used have done jack though, so it's a good start. I'll let you know how it looks in a week or so...

    I hate the British weather

You found Mill Hill then Steve :) I'm not sure what's going on with my tyres at the mo, they've got more than a few mill left, but they have completely given up the ghost. Bar having a filthy car for the next 5 months (at least) I actually quite enjoy the Trophy in this weather. I've always...

    I hate the British weather

Spent three hours giving ZXX a little tlc yesterday only for it to rain as soon as I finished waxing. At least I managed to finish the wax! As my mate said yesterday though, you dont wash a shirt and then not wear it in case it gets dirty. . . So .. thought sod it and spent the day charging...

    I want an Audi R8

What's this!? A moderator taking us off topic! I'm down on Florence road, so if I can persuade anyone to come for a beer then will try and pop in. I'll give you a call if I'm gonna make it. You'll always have my back up on decent cars Steve!

    I want an Audi R8

I'm a bit in love with it, have to admit. Having had a few fast passenger rides in both a Gallardo and a DB9, I would be very interested to see how this compares. Looks wise I don't think you can compare it with the TT. If it wasn't an Audi, nobody would say it resembled it. Would make a very...

    Shell " V Power Fuel "

Might be imagining it, but since Optimax has become V-Power, my cold starts in the morning seem to be a lot easier. Not having the odd nothing happening moments that I was having earlier in the year. Has anyone else noticed this? :?:
