Without a doubt - IK's can increase the air flow so much (particularily at higher revs) that the air fuel mixture becomes too lean, so you have to get a remap to ensure the correct air/fuel ratio.
That's a great find! :D
A colleague at work has a Caterham with some Reverie carbon bits on it, and all the parts look superb...
Looks like it is just a normal K&N induction, with a cannister covering the filter to help prevent hot air being drawn in. My only issue with the kit is there...
The Autocar you want to try and get hold of then is the special issue - Britain's best driver's car 2005, Volume 245 No13/5658 from 27th Septemeber 2005.
Happy hunting! :D
Do not get the locking nuts removed with force, I decided to let my local Renault garage do it to my old 172 as I bought the car without the locking wheel nut key and I did not want to wait for the replacement key to be delivered - they damaged all four wheels and charged my £120 for the...
Spot on! It's a great number to own, like you say the lowest available number! :D
I've just checked the Autocar with the Trophy on the front, they show an interior pic of 003/500 and exterior shots of HT05 BYO, and then in the Britain's best driver's car 2005 they have exterior shots of HT05...
Welcome to the forum! :D
To find some official blub on the 182 and the Trophy, have a look at - http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/heritage/
If you have a look at eBay, you could probably get hold of one the DVD's that Renault produced when they released the Trophy.
I used to use RSport in Wimbledon until I found out about Rentech. Great service, the only reason I stopped going there is due to the fact that Rentech do the same work, take even more care and the labour rate is nearly half what RSport used to charge me.
I would recommend RSport to anyone in...
I know the complete kit has been on their website for a while, but K-Tec have added pics and descriptions of nearly all of the parts they use in their turbo conversion. Interesting reading.

Discs should be fine, best to just get some new pads and maybe hoses if you are prepared to change the fluid at the same time. I think pad choice for me will all come down to personal preference on which brand I prefer, as long as there are no horror stories about them on the forum.
I am big fan of the red, especailly with the anthracite wheels, but if the Trophy had been available in a dark metallic blue then I would have gone for it. Would have had to have been a unique blue though, not the Racing or Petrol blues that were available for the 182.
Like artdealers idea...
Welcome to the forum! :D
TBH you should do a search on one of the Clio Williams forums out there as they will have all the infor you need.
For my missus' Williams, I just use a good quality semi-synthetic 10W-40 oil such as Silkolene Titan XTR, but her car is high on the miles and she...
In a similar position myself Steve, I've started cycling to work, so I am only just going to be using my Trophy purely for pleasure and it's quite hard to justify the loan, insurance and tax payments.
But I'm with Gareth here a house and a Trophy are manageable, I may be a little bit in debt...
Evening all!
Been on holiday in the States for a fortnight, and I've only just had time to sit down and go through all the posts since I went away - You lot have been busy!
Just got to quickly say how much I love my Trophy! As soon as I got home, I made my excuses to the missus...
My Trophy came with the following camber settings: -0.24 degrees front right, -1.01 degrees front left, rears were both at -1.75 degrees.
I've been running -2.00 degrees at the front for about 10 months and 8,000 miles (and two trackdays) now and I am delighted with how the car performs. I've...
Not sure if you are referring to my mate who drives a DC2 which I mentioned recently?
Anyways, the DC2 and the Trophy are both great cars, we've not been out at the same time for a scientific test, but they both feel of similar pace and ability. My mate bought his DC2 as he did not want...
Both cars should be a very similar off the line, the one thing you don't know is if the Cup was modified, so the playing field may not have been level. I did not think the Cup had traction control, and I do find the Trophy's system is pretty intrusive, so this could have been another reason for...
I don't think most Renault dealers would be happy to fit aftermarket parts, having said that R-sport in Wimbledon would do it, so it may be worth giving them a call. If you don't mind travelling there is Rentech in Portsmouth who have built up a very good rep on this forum.
The Trophy will lap up the punishment! I took my standard 172 to the 'Ring last year and had no problems at all, and a few of the members off this forum have also been out there and had a weekends action with no issues.
Yeah the brakes could do with uprating for serious trackwork, so it may...
Here's a couple of links to video files of the Orbisoud that 7MAT posted a while ago...not got any of the Janspeed I'm afriad, but I would be very interested in hearing what it sounds like.
