Cheers Cue, life can be a bit mental, one minute you are booking up your wedding day, the next you are working out where it all went wrong! :?
The bigger loss!?! All I know that right now driving the Trophy is about the only thing that is keeping me sane, going for a blast takes my mind off...
Original 1.3 106 Rallye and a 600cc sportsbike...just splitting up with the missus and selling our house etc, so it may be time for me to go crazy and get a bike, but I couldn't afford to keep the Trophy as well!
Just got to wait and see how the next couple of months pan out...
Your not wrong there fella! Driving against bikes is great, having them pull away on the straights and then reeling them back in under the brakes and during cornering.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that I am quicker than most of the bikes out there, I'm not, I just love trying to...
Makes good sense, the same reason's why I don't want to sell could be the same reason's why people do want to sell, to upgrade to something better (M3, Elise etc) to enjoy the improving driving conditions.
I am so blinkered by the Trophy though, just can't see for the money how fast road...
No, not thinking of selling mine...but searched on Autotrader over the weekend, and there are 8 Trophy's for sale this week, what gives? :?
I can't think of a worse time to get rid, spring brings the sun, grippy tarmac and dry night time driving, perfect Trophy conditions!
Looks great in white, real motorsport vibe! :D
Great photos Gareth, both look really clean and in great condition, can't imagine how long it takes you to keep them that way!
Congrats on the purchase, sounds like you bought a great example! :D
Wonder how many miles will be on it by next Saturday, or if the seller will go out for the fateful "one last blast!"
Congrats on the purchase! :D
Hopefully see you at a track day or two later on in the year!
Insured with Privilege myself as they were the cheapest for me, but they don't offer any extra cover for trackdays like Greenlight do, so I end up paying more to insure my Trophy with specialist...
Thought Cue posted that the AW exhaust did not have a cat at all, but that the exhaust is from the bottom of the mani back...Would be a nightmare come MOT time, unless you've got a mate in the trade!
Only the good stuff, never used 95 in mine and never will. Went through a period of using Tesco's 99, but after the recent debacle I will only be using Optimax.
Not got Permaguard, so I don't know how well these products would work with the finish on your paintwork, but I use a aqua blade (basically a big, soft windscreen wiper blade) to get the water off the panels, and then I use Autoglym's synthetic chamois to dry off any water left on the car.
I'm pretty sure this system was a silly amount of money - circa £500! So it would not suprise me if they have stopped making them, because I doubt anyone would have bought one!
Official Nurburgring site calendar is working fine for me :?
Still waiting for the 'Ringers community to produce their calendar for the whole year, makes finding a free weekend so much easier!
Some of my mates are off in May, trying to desperately find some cash from somewhere so I can go...
I spent the whole of the last winter freaking out about this! There are a couple of threads on this forum which try to explain what the knock is caused by, the explanation that I found most plausible was that it is the tyres skidding/jumping on the road when they are cold causing a sudden...
On the road I've only had three wheel experiences on very tight corners or on roundabouts, can't say that I actually feel it happening, but people following me have seen it!
When money allows, get yourself on track or one of the handling days and you'll be doing it all day long!
Although if...
Just type in your command and away you go - hours of fun at work!

Post your best commands, and later I'll post some of the better ones we found at work today...
Nice looking car Andy, love those seats! 8) ...not sure about your choice of iPod colour though!
Quick question about your ITG and the cold air feed. Does the pipe run from the cut out in the bumper grill directly to the airbox, or does it feed cold air to the space in the engine bay...
Just seen this as well. :(
As you've said, hope no-one was hurt.
Seats look as though they are going to fetch a good price, £510 for the pair already...
Got to laugh at the advert for the steering wheel "free from rips, tears"...erm the airbag seems to have deployed leaving a couple...
Congrats on the purchse - and welcome to the forum! :D
Live in Surrey myself, but generally do all my "driving for the sake of driving" in Sussex and Hampshire, great roads!
I'll say hello if our paths cross again!
Am I right that your housemate also has a Trophy, but with a Carbon bonnet? If so, we had some fun on the roundabouts just off the A3 at Milford a couple of months back!
I have tried before to work out which is the best of the available brake fluids, and I made no progress!
I thought it would have been easy, look at the boiling points and work out which offers the highest and buy that...but when I looked at Motul Dot 5.1, it had a dry boiling point of 270...
