8)
Sounds like a great trip - you got lucky with the weather! We've had such bad weather here and I thought you may get the same out there. I'll definitely be going out next year at some point, should try to get a few more Trophy owners out there at the same time.
The pics have...
Gutted...at least I was a super Trophy owner for a couple of days!
When are you two (Nik/Day) away again so the new mods can play havoc with the forum again! :P
Saw and heard asim's Orbisoud at the Brands trackday and it is an awesome bit of kit, but I must admit all these great reviews of the Janspeed are really tempting me!
I would go for the sports cat as well, so I've got to keep on saving to buy either system!
Good to see you are both back in one piece! :D
So how was the trip then? What was the weather like? Any interesting stories?
Is Day's comment about 4 wheels a reference to some Trophy 3 wheeling, or has he been blagging passenger laps with some bikers?
Looks fantastic, like new or maybe even better! :D
Any chance that you were driving through Woking on Tues afternoon at about 17:00? Saw a Trophy with the same start to the registration, didn't wave though as I was walking back to my Trophy from the Post Office, and I did not want to seem...
Same V6 that was all over my back bumper at Brands in August, driven by Jeremy at the time. Jumped out of the way as soon as I could, and tried to keep up as best I could, but I've never seen a V6 hassled that quickly around a track!
There's one local to me, don't know the reg...
Whilst on the subject of stars, I was thiking it would be cool if someone could change the stars for another object like the T from Trophy, in the same font. What do you guys reckon, other than the fact that I need to get out more!
I would have loved to have put my name forward, but unfortunately I just don't have the time (although I know my post count says differently! ). My missus would not be impressed if I spent more time on this forum in the evenings, and during the day I really only come on here during lunch...
Never been up against the Teggy, although my mate reckons he's out dragged a couple of 182's... but then again he would!
From the passenger seat I would say they are very even, but that's not exactly scientific. It is an awesome car though, and the Coupe layout makes it feel a bit...
Football, Cricket, Cars - she's a good lass, but on the other hand she's really messy and has to be forced into helping out with the housework, swings and roundabouts and all that!
Even let her do a couple of laps of the 'Ring last year in my 172, not sure I'd be able to do the same in...
Don't know what you mean!
It was back when he was with his missus, and was really under the thumb! Had to get home quick-smart!
The only one of the cars from the pic I've really ever shared the road with is the missus' Williams, on a tight twisty road there's not much in it, but...
I've just gone past a year of ownership, but I'm not going to get the service done until I reach 12k - which is only a month or so away. I've changed the oil twice, and regularily check the fluids, so I'm content that my Trophy does not need the service done each and every year on the dot...
After, put them in the order they came in the mag! :D
Should have spent more time sorting some better shots, but my mates with the 205 and Teggy only popped in for a few mins.
8) Always loved the Integra in red with the anthracite alloys.
Took a few of my Trophy, missus' Williams and my mates Integra and 205 recently, but I'm so crap at photography I decided not to post them, but seeing as this thread now exists here they are!
Afraid not, trying to keep expenditure to a minimum at the mo as I've got a couple of B'days and a holiday coming up...Now if I could only convince the missus that a day at Brands is not only a great birthday present for her, but a holiday as well!
The proportion of people who really appreciate what you are doing here Nik is far greater than the trouble makers, as a great man once said "Keep the Faith"!
Yes it was Bon Jovi!
Both, blew 67 roadside and 55 at the station.
Interesting about being given 12 points straight away...12 points on your licence for 10/11 years!
Deserves it though, at least he won't do something like this again!
...and a total agrement from me as well. I've been kicking his ass about this big time, saying to him that if he had killed someone, he would be doing time without a doubt, and having to live with the fact that he had ended someone's life. Not a good situation, especially for someone who is a...
Well just got back from seeing my mate, did an online quote and the conviction will add about 50% to his premium, he's only paying just over £500 a year now, so it's not the end of the world. I think it means he's going to keep his car now, just leave it sitting in his garage for a year...
After some advice on behalf of a friend who got charged with drink driving last night.
Has anyone on here ever been in this situation or know of anyone who has? If so what was the outcome?
He knows he has messed up, and fully accpets that he should not have been out driving. He's never...
Gutted that your journey home didn't go as planned, hope you have managed to get a few miles done this weekend, I did 500 miles over the first weekend that I had mine! :D
Will be interested to hear what you think of the Trophy compared to the CTR.
Found this pic on another forum, looks nasty but at least no-one was hurt. Makes me think twice about putting Yokohama Parada's on my Trophy...
I hope posting this photo does not offend the owner or the site management. Apologies if it does...
Good feedback guys, the Ferodo's are very tempting seeing as they are a fair few quid cheaper than the PF 97/Pagid options.
What slicks are you running?
