^^ The van man couldn't handle the racecar. He saw the lack of rear seats and thought damn Trophyvan taking his business.
On a more serious note, I've not been the victim of any major roadrage from another driver while owning the T. Young hoodlums however....
Even that waffy bit of tubing didn't stop the standard snapping for me!
But as Badgermanpirate said we made sure they were fitted correctly when my Trophy dropped its suspension guts one weekend. The difference in the standard front spring and the Sportline wasn't huge but mainly that rubber...
I am with Sky Insurance as per CS. Fully comp and with a clause allowing me to leave my car in France everyday.....£720 lol!
I was 25 with 6 years no claims at the time of policy take out
Take the dampers off and send them for a refurb. Or replace for coilovers or another alternative!
If you cannot do it yourself or know anyone that can help you. Probably have to find a way, i.e get a garage to do it for you.
That definitely sounds like a damper too, exactly what mine did as well.
It has to be different. The pipes on the BTM are solid/one piece from the looks of it. The Ktec rear pipes look like they just slide on? No welding?
BTM looks like the better product from the photo's IMO.
Tiz Woz, mods depend on your insurance.
I am with Sky Insurance and they increase the premium by a % depending on the mod.
You don't have to declare different pads and discs. Otherwise you'd notify your insurance when you put different tyres on the car than it rolled out of the factory with :)
Even at that kind of price you are looking at circa £580 per side. Which is obviously alot better than £1k per side, what it really boils down to is how long they will last. Will be interested to hear how they do!
£1k per side??!?!?!
As much as I love the trophy I would be binning the sachs more than likely if I had to buy new.
With prices the way they are, the average T is worth circa £5k. Simple economics in my book, spending nearly half the value on new dampers. God no.
Meh the cars are getting on for 7 years old. Stone chips mean it has been driven! Driven not detailed ftw.
Service history and proof of being maintained are way higher up my list of priorities!
The way the car delivers the power will be different as it has also been mapped. Standard map on the 182's is a bit tosh, looking forward to getting mine mapped soon! Personally I would have it, mods don't bother me that much as long as they are performance orientated.
I have a yozza and...
Seems relatively well priced to me. Some people have done big mileage without damper issues.
I just had to replace mine with some nice refurbed examples after one dropped its guts, and that was at roughly 44k miles.
Things to consider with that advert, is the exhaust warrenty transferable...
Eibach Sportlines are a good spring set up. Fitted some at the weekend after one of my front springs had snapped (in addition to a fudged damper) cannot recommend it enough. A little more comfortable when cruising but lean on them and it all firms up a treat.
Also seems to be a small drop at...
