Need some advice guys. I need to get my dampers rebuilt, but it's likely my Trophy will be SORN'd/garaged for the next 10-12 months. Would I be ok to get the dampers done now or am I better off waiting until it's back on the road? Ideally, I'd like to do them now as I have the front end in bits...

It's the engine management light and unfortunately, it could relate to a number of different faults. Have you noticed the car running any differently or even any strange smells (namely a rotten egg / sulfur smell)?

Might be worth getting yours resprayed silver as per the original spec? I know there's a trader on ClioSport.net (Spray Shack) that will do them for a reasonable price and their work is perfect.

The Michelin PS3's (87w rating) are what I have and they are very good. Yokohama AD08R's get good reviews too and are available in 205/45/16. I imagine the PS3 edges it as an 'all round' tyre though, with the AD08R's being better on dry roads or for track use.

Looks like the official update from Renault is that the Sachs rear dampers have now been superceeded by non-cup Clio 182 dampers. Not good news for those of us in need of replacements!

Yeah I could be waiting a while, LOL ;) My Trophy is now SORN'd and is likely to be off the road until spring 2016, so I'm in no rush for them. I'm just hoping they won't be discontinued indefinitely.

Thanks for that - it appears the 182 Cup springs are available, weird considering they are the same part.... All I need now is a set of Sachs rear dampers and I'll be able to renew all of the suspension components.

Front springs are available and are £96/pc. Unfortunately, the rear springs aren't available to order and I'm told they've been on back order for some time.

Thanks for posting that Marc - I knew they weren't cheap, but I'd rather keep the suspension standard where possible. I have considered the Mark Fish setup, as you will see earlier in this thread, but I don't want to compromise the handling on the road in favour of a more track focused setup...

Does anybody know if the genuine Trophy springs are difficult to get hold of also? I take it those of you on a waiting list for the rear Sachs are no further forward?

How hard are they to fit? Is it a DIY job?

Can we be 100% sure that Mark will re-valve the dampers at this price? I see from a previous group buy, this option was significantly more expensive at £376.00 for the pair. Just for info, Larkspeed offer the Koni rear dampers at £194.00 for the pair incl. VAT and postage.
