I fitted a complete set of 205/45 Yoko AD08R tyres to my Trophy last month and have been very pleased with them in all conditions so far. Can't wait to get them properly scrubbed in and tested on track!
I can't wait to replace the standard system on mine, it just doesn't sound right and has already started rusting through in the rear section. For sound/appearance/weight, there are plenty of respectable aftermarket options. I'm going down the Prospeed route :-)
Popped in a pair of Citroen mist washer jets today. A two minute job, very easy to do, the jets look great on the bonnet and apparently the spray pattern is better than the standard kit. All for £6.40 delivered off eBay!!
How straightforward is it and how long should it take to switch them over? Do you need to set the rotating dials to any particular position to make removal/refitting of the cables any easier?
Within a tenner of what I paid for mine fitted
I am also impressed so far, although haven't had a chance to really put any decent heat into them yet. Coming from middle of the road Hancooks on the front and mostly worn P Zeros on the rear, it wasn't going to be hard to bring about an...
Makes me glad I picked up a decent secondhand item for £17 on eBay last summer....still need to take a brave pill and try to fit it though! There is a guide on cs.net I think.
To be honest, I bought the car with the Sportlines already fitted, so I can't really offer a comparison. However, having owned various cars with coilovers and other damper/spring setups, I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the compromise between ride quality and handling that the Sportlines...
Interesting conundrum!
If you don't use the car as a daily, I'd be tempted to go with Option 3 and just live with it, as the benefits on track and smooth roads are clear. However, if you use the car a lot anyway, then perhaps Option 2 is the right way forward. I run Eibach Sportline springs on...
I was in a similar position over the weekend. No blow out but four tyres I'm not keen on (Hancook/Pirelli blend, the rears being very worn)...clicked on checkout for a set of four Yoko AD08Rs earlier on and can't wait to get them fitted later in the week!
Just do it if you have the £s available...
Welcome to the forum and Trophy ownership! I have a Snappy re-trimmed wheel and am really pleased with it. It has red stitching, which matches the exterior colour nicely.
Based on the start/end points of your journey, are you per chance Bristol based or nearby?
I bought mine earlier this year with 115k on the clock. Fantastic condition throughout with a great service history and drives superbly, proving that they can carry the miles well.
I've chosen to overhaul things like the suspension, brakes and parts of the engine to suit my own requirements...
Spotted Tuesday 3rd November near Filton Sainsburys/B&Q in the traffic at around 4pm.
Two young(ish) chaps in the car. Only the second other Trophy I've seen in Bristol to date.
I just bought a pair of genuine OE non-xenon items from Fish Brothers (www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk), which came in at £85 each. The quality is superb and even came with a full set of bulbs installed. I'm not sure you'll find anything better value/quality than that?
I bought a pair of these from Renault Wolverhampton (trade as renaultcarparts_uk on eBay) last week...the price is incredible for these genuine Sachs items!
One of the retaining clasps on my rear bench has unfortunately broken, so doesn't secure properly to the chassis lugs. I'm after either a direct replacement bench seat (Trophy/Cup spec) or a split/fold arrangement in Dynamique spec. It must be in full working order and include the central lower...
I am the proud new owner of #358, having purchased the car from its previous owner in S.Wales and collected this morning. It's in superb condition throughout, especially for the relatively high mileage (115k), and is exactly as described in the advert. The only non-standard features are a...
