So after waiting ages for it to turn up, my flocked steering cowling turned up. To be fair, due to the massive delay in getting this to me, they sent me out a free pair of flocked dash strips so I am quite happy with that. No pictures of either of these yet, will try and get some!
On Sunday, I...
Right guys,
Really don't want to do this, but up for sale is my BTB Cat-Back Exhaust System.
There weren't very many of these made, and they rarely come up for sale just like the Orbisoud's.
Incredibly easy to fit, quality is superb and fitment is spot on. Sound is incredible (not overly loud...
I think Karl is looking for the clamp that joins the centre section to the cat?
In which case, you would need this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-Clio-Sport-Genuine-Centre-Exhaust-Clamp-50mm-7701458596-/271777362061?fits=Model%3AClio&hash=item3f4731708d
The link someone posted further...
Tried out my new snow foam that I bought (Chemical Guys Honey Dew). It was a lot more foamy before I took this picture!
Then gave her a wash, a full clay bar session, and now plan on detailing her over this weekend and during the evenings next week. I will be doing the following:
Polishing...
Time for a little update then, not a great deal has been done!
Firstly, after some inspiration from a thread by 'MarcR' on ClioSport, I decided to buy some protective tape and film for my Sachs shocks.
So, bought some of this 3M clear film to protect the stickers. Seems very OCD but doesn't do...
There is a BTB Stealth system someone is selling on ClioSport.net at the moment - couldn't recommend a BTB enough.

Yes I am deliberating getting new hangers whilst the system is off the car, they are indeed BMW X5 ones as you mention. Will go to BMW to get genuine ones, I have the part number too as the hangers have 'BMW' and the part number on them.
This system was removed from Trophy number 104, and when...
Cheers for the suggestions re the seatbelts chaps, will get them done once I get a bit of time.
Not a great deal has happened since last update.
Car is now booked in for all the suspension to be fitted on 17th August, very excited. Have that week off work, so will be nice to go for a few...
I tend to go with OE Renault parts where I can, but Lemforder parts are well made and equivalent to OE. They are an OE supplier for many German cars (VW/Audi etc) and I've never had problems with longevity of Lemforder parts on any of my cars. I have Lemforder track rod ends and ball joints...
Thanks for the comments chaps, all opinions more than welcome!
Not normally a fan of stickers myself, but the Recaro ones cover up a couple of chips in the side mounts which really annoyed me (OCD) and have actually grown on me.
The rear Elf sticker is a replacement for the original, albeit in...
Cheers for all the kind comments chaps.
Not much of an update, but I ordered a few decals from a guy on ClioSport (n2grafix) and they arrived Friday, so I got them fitted today.
Firstly, I ordered one of the new style 'Elf' decals to replace the original OEM one in the back window. It just...
Thanks for the generous comments :)
That 2 day weekender sounds like a good shout if I would be welcome. Also my birthday mid-September so a good way to celebrate! Would certainly be interested.
I already contacted Orbisoud direct about a month or two ago about one, and the prices are as follows:
1375 euros for full system with sports cat - £986
1475 euros for the above with delivery - £1,057
Just want to see if anyone would be willing to part with theirs first. I am considering...
Renault Wolverhampton best for parts. Mention 'ClioSport' when you phone up and they'll quote you a discounted price.
Doubt you will find genuine parts much cheaper than here.
Yeah two at the back, mine have just broken off the other day too when I was trying to lift the gaitor up. It was a brand new one only two weeks ago too, but only about £10 for a new genuine one and readily available.
Not a great deal to update with in this last week.
The last parts I needed for my suspension refresh were a pair of wishbones. Cheapest I have seen a pair of genuine ones for is from a Renault Parts supplier on eBay at £100 posted for the pair which is a very reasonable price.
I was going to...
Thanks for the very generous comments Tim. Was a pleasure to meet you too, very nice example of a Trophy you have. Hope to see you at future meets soon, and thanks for making me want an RS2 inlet even more!
So I had a delivery from Mark Fish today... can not bloody wait to get all this fitted along with the Trophy dampers and all the rest of my suspension parts!
Thanks Mark, appreciated!
By the way, your advice re taping up the resistors and airbag plugs worked. Got round to doing that at the weekend, and lights have all stayed off since. I think resistors might have been coming loose slightly from vibrating and potentially shorting out. All good now...
So I swapped over the mechanism from my Ph2 stalk into the Ph1 stalk, and auto-cancel indicators are now working again. Sorted!
Also refitted the airbag resistors and taped up all the plugs sitting inside the hub just to ensure none touch each other. Airbag warning light has been off all...
On Tuesday evening, I went and picked up a decat pipe for a very reasonable price of £25. Thought I would give one a go, and if I don't like it then I can always swap the original cat back in.
A set of bullets came up for sale from Simon at Spray Shack, Anthracite with '2.0 16v' in black...
Thanks mate :) yes I would love a V6 spoiler. Definitely on the list!
So I got the Sabelt wheel fitted yesterday. Popped down to my local Maplin first to pick up a couple of 3.9ohm resistors to keep the airbag warning light off, for a grand total of 78p! Wish all parts were that cheap!! Removed...
Thanks for all the nice comments chaps. Appreciated.
It doesn't screw on, as it is not threaded. But when I got my shifter mechanism, I pulled quite hard and it came off. I'm not sure if they are meant to come off? Sure I have read it is virtually impossible to get them off. But someone must...
So my new number plate LED bulb arrived earlier this week. Also got it fitted, with a before and after shot below. Much better!
Then a number of goodies turned up yesterday...
First up, my RenaultSport Sabelt wheel, which has been retrimmed in black alcantara by Jack at Royal Steering...
And for anybody else interested in one, a guy on ClioSport has created a group buy in last few days due to demand for these. £12 each including delivery. He needs at least 20 people, already up to 7 within a couple of days. Just thought I would give a heads up to anybody that might be interested.
I already searched around the subject, like I do everything before I eventually resort to asking a question on the forum, and already came across that topic.
On second inspection you might notice the last post was in October 2013, stating all had been sold.
Thanks for the help.
Hi guys
Looking for a good condition slam panel rubber seal, which fits between top of the grille and bonnet when closed.
Mine has split, let me know if you have one.
Cheers
Ash
Hi Mark, thanks for this. That is a good thread link actually, can see what you mean now, there is enough room to weld still and leave the lambda boss in place. So I guess it would be a case of getting a short piece of 2 1/2" pipe, welding it to the cat after cutting olive joint off, and then...
