Thats odd. I put a new battery on mine as the original one was completely dead. There was no battery on the car over night as i took it off and didn't get a new one until the following day. From memory i think the alarm was fine.

One of my friends purchased a Sony Vaio with a Blueray drive and a 17 inch screen. While watching a Blueray disc the battery only lasted 50 mins. Sadly he doesn't have any 49 min films... :roll:

Would you consider an Apple Mac? If you have an Apple Retailer, official or independant, go in and have a look/chat. They cost more than a PC laptop but are enjoyable to use. About £1000 for a decent one.
