    Trophy handling referenced in CAR

Page 132 bottom of 2nd column. Suggests Mini's engineers should have driven a Clio Trophy and fitted Sach dampers if they were serious about the Coupe's sporting credentials...

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

I get the impression reading recent posts that dampers refurbished by BG do not last very long, perhaps a year or two but many seem to fail much quicker. I am sure there will be a small number of situations when BG are not to blame, but it is worrying. With the price of new dampers falling of...

    How worn are your seats?

BTW You can either buy replacement parts or get the seas re-covered by a specialist. Not such a big deal.

Are TDF very good for routine servicing e.g. cam belts and the like? As good as RenTech / Birchdown?

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

This is what Gazza commented last July, "My dampers both failed in under a year and BG sorted them for nothing only last week. On mine there were no visible signs of a problem but gas had escaped from cracks in the reservoir body." From memory, I don't think Gazza got to the bottom of the cause...

    SACHS DAMPERS REBUILDS

Gazza experienced something similar - Mark Fish was looking after his car, he ended up dealing with BG - the upshot was they were refurbed again for no fee

    Priceless

Gungo - I agree. I've had two quick spins in a 200 and was left completely underwhelmed in so many areas. The Trophy feels so light and nimble, with impressive low-down grunt. Roundabouts almost become invisible.

Have I missed something here - why are these stickers so important? They're just stickers.

Really? I thought the best you can buy them new is around £486 each, which is about the cost of refurbing two at BG?

    Michelin Contacts?

I was in my local tyre fitters recently and spotted the PS3s on display. The Manager's view was that they are less sporty than the PE2s. I'd be interested in Continental Sport Contact 3s if you could get them in 16".

Hi Johnny - apologies if you've already mentioned, but why have you bought new dampers rather than refurbing them?

    Pressure washer - any recommendations?

Thanks Jon - do you have this model...? Nilfisk C110 3-5 X-tra Pressure Washer. Badgerman85 - I sometimes use a hozelock variable gun like you, but it's not very effective at removing bonded-on dirt. The extra pressure you get from a power wash is useful.

    Pressure washer - any recommendations?

Hello All My old Karcher is now in the bin, it lasted around 3-4 years of occasional use. Bit rubbish. Can anyone recommend a brand/make for ~£100? I only use it to wash the car. Many thanks Mark

Great work Keith on refreshing the dampers! Surprised with their condition before your started, looked like they'd never seen a sponge soapy water? Life on a farm?!

Awesome! That gearbox sounds very clunky even when up to temperature. I think Harry is great at doing these videos.

    New Brakes

The mileage won't make a difference. From memory you need to file the pad on the sides and back, half a mm might be enough.

I wouldn't bother with the braided lines. Fresh fluid is a good idea though.

    New Brakes

This question has been address countless times... although the DS2500s are very good when up to temperature, they are quite poor when they are not. I have the DS2500s but if I was to replace these, I would go for the Pagid Blues - more expensive but overall, a better pad. If you have standard...
