I’ve been looking for the small silicone caps on and off for the last couple of years. There have been a few candidates but none that seem to be the perfect fit of those that Rik supplied.
Gratuitous R5GTT pic
An old girlfriends sister had the 205 1.9 and she used to scare me shitless in it. It also had a much nicer interior than the R5, that is until her Jack Russell ate it!
Personally not a big fan of the Skoda part, i have the Ktec carbon fibre fitted which I like but would fit the Ktec matt version if I were to go again, looks pretty Oe.
Just to clarify, I meant to add that these and a bunch of other parts seem to have gone from the RPD site, normally out of stock parts are still listed with a notify when available tab. Doesn’t mean they have gone for good but?
With no IR lamp I guess it’s the C5. They are teeny tiny bottles but 30ml will be enough to do back and front, you really need very little as it’s a chemical reaction so more than the thinnest of coats is a waste. I would use this as a base layer and then if you’re really keen something like the...
How will they differ to the OE?
The Ktec carbon fibre matt version is actually fairly similar in looks to the original and is a better “Oe” option than the Skoda thing.
I’m really going to have to disagree with you there Cue, the numbers just don’t back that up. Apart from the odd one or two I’d say that prices are pretty static and don’t seem to have moved much for almost two years.
Whatever you do you will be needing to spend. Full major service is due on these and those Sachs are going to need doing if you are going to have a car to enjoy or face a lowball offer if you are to sell as is. So £600-700 for the Sachs and about the same(?) for a full service with genuine...
It‘s always difficult to get a return on money spent on a car, let alone a Renault shopping trolley. But with only 19 now on the road in the UK (apparently) I suspect nice ones will go for decent money.
The Petrol Blue was such a marmite colour, which is why there were so few spec‘ed in this colour I suppose. I always liked it and with under 30 brought into the country, now rare and expensive.
An Exige is in my “garage” of cars I’d really like to have and a while back was looking at a powder blue S Sport. It would of meant selling the T which was a tough choice, I bought the 5GTT in the end and still have both.
Well it goes without saying that a one or two owner car is pretty low. I guess the idea is that low owner numbers mean that those owners have kept them for longer and are more invested in keeping them in good condition, doesn’t always follow of course.
Sub 60k? Low owner numbers with good service history, all the “Trophy” parts in place that “looks“ well cared for. Lots of caveats to that and most is flexible and dependant on what the buyer considers worth it. Recent example of that was the £12k CC car which had a “few” issues.
Mmmm, yes but good ones have been at that price for a while now. It seems pretty static to me, apart from the fight over the one on CC that is And without Forbes that would have stalled much earlier. There doesn’t seem to have been a rush to sell after that, the two on eBay have not moved for...
