I have always wondered about the merits of using a sealant over a traditional gasket, you have to be so careful that you do not apply too much or too little and then make sure you actually remove every single bit of the old.

As above Paul at RPD is pretty helpful. #MarcB what else are in those boxes? Why the two boxes?

Thanks. I have the Powerflex Black (not sure why I went for those) which are at least two piece so fitting will be easier.

How did you remove the original inserts? I bought new poly ages ago but have not been up to facing that job.

    Renault badge

Just bumping this to the top in the hope that someone who has not seen the post has one put away somewhere.

The sump gasket alone was thirty pounds or so when I bought last year but if he can do the whole for eighty quid then who's to argue.

Unfortunately I have the same leak (fairly common it seems) and several people have skirted the offer for them to repair it for me! It looks to be a relatively straightforward easy job, until you realise the front subframe is in the way......... it's a long job.

    Renault badge

Does anyone have an unused Renault boot badge? I thought I had one but whilst looking for it today I remembered that though I ordered all three badges a couple of years ago I sent the Renault one back as it was the wrong version. The one I took off can be reused as it's good but was always...

    Quiet exhaust

Whilst I'm not sure about the version with the extra silencer, the Orbisoud cannot be described as quiet, someone on here once described it as sounding like a small plane taking off when I was giving it some. Having said that I really like it, I don't really notice it in the cabin and think it...

Potential group buy on 1*2 Cup / Trophy splitters

Really? If I didn't have an original salted away I'd be on this like a fly on shit. At £180 still expensive but they look the part, never thought that about the Fabia bodge.

Colour of New Rear Standard Springs

The Trophy logo was a non starter from the off but if you don't ask....... I think as long as both front and back have a recognisable mark/ref to identify them as copies but copies made to the Trophy specification then I suspect most will be happy. Great work by the way.

I think black as well. Maybe with Trophy stamped on them in silver?
