    1:18 Model

I was quite excited when I saw this thread revived (yep, sad) and much as I applaud the effort, a 1:43 for €45 will be a hard sell. For example below is my Otto 1:12 5 GTT and a 1:43 Corgi Whizz Wheels MG get and a pound for scale. I will probably go for smaller as there is no other option but...

    Clio Trophy 053 For Sale

You have arguably a grands worth of spare parts there which would value the car at £7k, waaay too cheap, if that doesn’t go in a day or so I’ll be surprised it looks a good example.

    Help With Koni Dampers

My bad, Koni come with this little lot but not the dust covers.

DA Polisher on plastic wings and bumpers

You are polishing the paint layers so the plastic panels need no extra care other than the usual care you take when using machine polishers. Also a DA is a safer option in itself.

Trophy review JayEmm on Cars youtube

I quite like Trendlines but they are too big for me, they still hold me well whilst the car gets thrown around but the seats in the new Fiesta ST are pretty snug.

He doesn’t actually say a great deal but always good to see more positive praise.

    Headlights

Look out for the grey inner surround rather than black if you want full OE.

    Rear suspension struts

There should be plenty of straight answers confirming the original fit rears were Sachs so bit odd that. Unfortunately they have not been available for a while now and best replacements seem to be the Cup version from Renault or the Koni supplied by Mark Fish amongst others.

#262 for sale on Collecting Cars

I guess we should all be pretty happy that our cars are selling for good money but personally for that money I would have wanted to see a cleaner car, engine bay bit of a mess and I would have wanted to see underneath (I would want to see it in person before parting with that amount full stop)...

Exhaust Renault Sport Clio Cup Evo 2004 - Orbisoud

No, all others Yozza included are a similar design to the Orbisoud.

    Why all the sudden interest

I've also been pondering this and looking on with bemusement. People not taking holidays so have more cash for a big ticket bit of fun?

Well it's unlikely to look better.

Hopefully you’ll love this as much as I love mine but even if you don’t it’s good to know that you will get more for it than you paid.

@Steve@R-Sport cars maybe for the valuation. He probably won't thank me but he may be able to help in exchange for a fee.

No. 243 - Front Shock Fitment

Also, looking closely at that photo it looks as though at some point someone has removed the original rubber top mounts and fitted a solid version which more often than not mean the turret is drilled to fit. So as well as holes for the strut brace there will be further holes under that rubber...

No. 243 - Front Shock Fitment

I think removing that brace is probably a sound idea, it doesn't look that effective. The front damper is not actually physically attached to the strut housing in OE form, it just sits inside the turret and is secured by the top part of the top mount seen in your picture. What do you mean the...

Mmmm, they are definitely knackered. As I mentioned I will make a decision when I get the dampers off.

    Rear Damper Bushes

Thanks, I hadn't thought about a jack handle, may be worth a go but bars are pretty cheap so may just pop to halfords.

    Rear Damper Bushes

Jesus, don't worry about that, I'm light years behind you. That is basically the problem, I have neither a buzz gun or breaker bar which I guess is the way forward.

    Rear Damper Bushes

Thank you for your kind offer but I'm down in Wallingford Nr Oxford so not really an option. I have squirted copious amounts of penetrating oil down the trailing arm in the vain hope that they will shift when I try again tomorrow. Glass of wine is now calling.

    Trophy in a sorry state

Yeah pretty much what I thought too though still think it’s beyond borderline. New rear bumper and spray, knowing the way the petrol filling points rust I would say that that is the rear wing that has gone, new rear quarter? Full service, Sachs refurb and that is without considering the reason...

    Trophy in a sorry state

That's pretty sad. I wonder why the paintwork on those two panels is okay and the rest are roached, I mean what has happened to that paint? My guess is that that is probably beyond economic repair.

    Orbisoud Exhaust

Yes the mounts are a similar state to mine. The version above looks to be a modified "quiet" version with the extra middle box.

    Rear Damper Bushes

Thanks to you both. Neither the Trophy Sachs or the Koni Adjustable come with either the sleeve or bush. Its a 50k+ car so I will inspect and decide. Not that I have ever scrimped on the car but TBH it's fifty quid I can do without spending at the moment.
